i'm not a necro fan, but that's still pretty awesome. i bet this is like, during his rise back to his big match or something. i like the real indy feel they are giving it already. i think this is going to show some respect to the wrestling business. i still wonder if they treat wrestling as real or fake in the movie.

It's gonna treated as fake. I read a script review where it mentioned that the wrestlers in the movie talk about going through their match.

Hopefully they show it from all sides including the huge physical toll the matches take on wrestlers and the problems this can result in with pain medication and such.

The mere mention of a 'Cactus Jack crossed with Terry Funk' Character has me beyond excited. Shawn McPride is an obvious take on Shawn Michaels and I love it. Really positive script review. Hope Aronofsky delivers

wow, i mean, as a wrestling fan, this movie really sounds like something special. i'm really excited about it. i loved beyond the mat. i thought it was beautiful. and now a feature film from a good actor and brilliant director treating professional wrestling with respect is a cream dream. this is going to be amazing.

So am I but it'll be one of those movies that desappears under the radar until it's release. Also if anyone else wants to see a movie that treats wrestling with respect check out the Korean movie Rikidozan.

and yeah, you're probably right about this movie. but i wish that wasn't the case. perhaps the wrestling news sites will pick up on some of the news

Now this is one film, that I can definately say, is in my "must see" list. From what I've read regarding the project, it certainly sounds intriguing to say the very least.
