I think part of it is the multiple reports, and the fight between sites confirming/denying stories.
I don't really think this is true.isn't it kinda funny how the Superman story totally outshadowed the Captain America casting news? or maybe it's just me..

The good news:
Modern story of Superman. Which means Lex will be a lock to go as the fan favorite corporate model
The bad news:
If the movie completely skips over the origin, meaning it won't do anything with flashbacks even... It will be a mistake. Superman needs to be reintroduced to a new generation. I stand by that.

The news could be worse. I must say I have more hope for origin elements than I did when Singer got the gig and announced a returns story.
Here's the thing: again, I'm sick of Luthor but then again, they used the 'stupid real estate Lex' in the movies, while the better tycoon Lex was never used.
It makes sense if he's in the movie if he's the most power person in the city. I'm sure he'll be the first one to greet Brainiac. And yes, he does have depth..well in the comics and the animated series. No matter how much power he has in Metropolis, Superman will always shadow him. so he has a god complex and Superman is stealing his spotlight.
To be honest, a real estate type person and a tycoon are fairly similar at times, sometimes they can go hand in hand. I do in fact understand why a number of fans are annoyed with how they portrayed Luthor. Having him only have schemes of messing something up so he can monopolize on land ownership that people will need to survive is pretty lame.
I'm glad they included someone like Brainiac though. I just hope that if they make a trilogy with this creative team that in the possible second film if they use Luthor as a main villian again they sure as **** better have Darkseid in the third film. I guarantee you that's what the general audience will want to see and will enjoy more, an epic city destroying fight with Supes and Darkseid. Quote me in your sig if you want but I will bet that if they had a film with them two fighting, it would make the most money at the BO. Superman has super strength as well as other great powers, believe me, the people want to see some major action and more use of his powers like heat vision for example...and not just for getting rid of destruction in the city but used on a villian.
Wow, a new director being lined up for The Flash is bigger news than I was expecting. Excellent!here's Showtimes article: who's gonna direct The Flash? Well it's..

If Superman flicked off real estate 'criminal mastermind' Lex into the sun, nobody will care.
If Superman flicked off Lexcorp Lex into the sun, the whole US government will retaliate.
So yeah, there is a different between the two: one is a cartoony schemer and the other is a serious businessman/scientist who owns a big corperatation and has political ties.
I really don't think we are getting clear facts about any of this.
If there is truth to Goyer/J. Nolan being involved, how do we know that someone actually got script details? For all we know, parts of the info are true, but other details get filled in by "insiders"
It has been said by Supes fans that the next story should be Lex and Brainiac for a looooooooooooooooooooong time. Also there has been a fair bit of arguing from some about seeing an established Superman.
I'm still treating the influx of info as rumor. Some of these script details seem kind of convenient.
Not to mention the Singer MOS movie (that wasn't made) had the same plot idea, except for the rumored intention of killing off Jason.

My guess was that it'd be a new director to replace Guy Ritchie on Lobo.Honesty. What were you thinking it was going to be?
showtime says it's true, possibly knowing the ID of the source.
Ign also reported it and has their own source:

plus, El May of latino review twitted that WB has been harassing them and demanding the identity of their source.

YEAHHH dudeMy guess was that it'd be a new director to replace Guy Ritchie on Lobo.
I agree. I have no interest in it. Nothing against it though.I'll be honest Green Lantern, Flash, Batman 3 and Superman all have me excited but Lobo doesnt interest me in the slightest.
