Lobo is one of those niche characters who had his time in the 90s but I can't see how he can carry a movie on his own. I can see him being a villain or a supporting character in Superman or whatever but that's it.

I agree. I have no interest in it. Nothing against it though.

Nah not at all. If when they do it I catch the trailer and it looks goo, I'll go see it. Its just I can think of alot mroe DC characters that I'd rather see a movie about than Lobo.

I just want more Superman news :D

Hey Showtime, honest opinion...

What is your gut feeling with Nolan/Goyer involvement compared to what your gut feeling was with Singer at the helm upon SR announcement?

I'm not sure I understand your question.

here's Showtimes article: who's gonna direct The Flash? Well it's..

Berlanti it up.

Honesty. What were you thinking it was going to be?

Oprphan Annie Returns

I would think that we'll start hearing director names/rumors for supes soon.

Soon.

Ok remember when it was announced Singer would be at the helm for SR?

How would you compare your gut feeling at the time of that, to the possibility of Nolan(s)/Goyer now?

Just curious was your personal opinion is.

I don't expect a big name director for Supes, not with nolan overseeing it, and i'm fine with that..
*IF* by chance we get one though, that's just gravy.

Are we all knocking Nolan out of contention for director?

If the info coming in is true, I would still think the WB tries to talk him into directing.

it makes me think about the scheduling for these movies:

Superman is a priorty and I'm sure it'll be release in 2012. But what about Flash?

If they seem keen on getting Berlanti, then is a Winter 2011 release sound fair enough? Then you got back to back DC superhero movies!

Proabably. But he shouldn't direct it.

Yeah. They'll sucker him into doing a whole franchise. He has his own ideas and stories that he wants to tell, such as Inception. If he agrees to direct Superman, that will just be another 6 or so years of his career spent on superhero movies (assuming a Supes trilogy at 2 years each).

Maybe..This is just my opinion, nothing i've heard, I don't see him directing Superman with Batman III coming up. It seems a bit much.
I could be wrong and he's announced tomorrow though.:yay:

I can't see Nolan doing Superman himself. with batman coming up.

Yes, you can almost guarantee that he won't be directing Superman. He's not leaving Batman and I'm pretty sure WB isn't looking for him to. He was brought in most likely because of his performance as a leader on productions like this. I would suspect that whoever gets the director gig is going to be someone that listens to the studio and his producers. We're not going to see someone with a vision. We're going to see a go to studio director. Think Martin Cambell with Green Lantern.

They could always released one movie in summer and the other at Christmas. I think for sure Superman will be released in Summer 2012.

I've seen all of that already, but thanks for the re-post. When things are still in a stage where they might not pan out, I cautiously consider it rumor.

Again they might be right on who is involved, but how do we know they actually got script details? It is all a bit vague in this stage. Let's see what happens.

JC... with all due respect... LR has NAILED almost everything regarding WB superhero films... and you should already know that one by now. From the Luthor stabbing Supes in SR, to the Routh casting... being the only ones to have the Abrams 2nd draft at the time... Ledger's casting, first BB script review... the Neeson/Ra's thing... this one is coming from them, so please don't be naive... if it comes from them it's 98% legit, and you've been long enough here to know that.

It's ironic given the fact that they listened to Nolan's pitch and let him do what he wanted with Batman. Maybe they were just extremely desperate at that point. It appears that they feel they've found a good means of quality control for future DC films.

I think hes just a little skeptical and you can't really blame him when it comes to a Superman movie.

I know the feeling... but even in the failed cases like the Abrams stuff... these guys NAILED what was happening. Even if this one doesn't happen... you can bet that these guys ARE on board this project.

The fact that they nailed the Ledger casting before anyone else seals their credibility for me. There was so much BS speculation and rumors surrounding that casting, it was ridiculous. And then LR shows up out of nowhere with the Ledger casting. Everyone goes "WTF" and it turns out to be true. :woot:

Yeah thats true. Lets just hope in a few months well all look back and say can you believe we were skeptical about this? :D

Welll... as I said not only Ledger. They also dropped the atomic Routh bomb in the midde of our famous Cavill vs. Welling casting war... now THAT one was legendary...

Yep, big time. They definitely deserve respect/trust from readers IMHO.

LR also was the first to revealed that Jackie Earle Haley was going to be the new Freddy. Then New Line denied it, and then he was offically cast months later...

Routh was a huge shock considering I'd never even heard of him at the time. I remember on here we had so many people talking about potential Superman and I dont think anyone mentioned Routh until he was mentioned. Ledger was a major shock to me, I was sure it was going to be Crispin Glover at the time.

Man, those LR guys sure do have some good sources at WB (which owns New Line). I wonder if WB has figured out who leaked the Goyer info. :hehe:
