Day of the Dead (Remake)

sorry to say this but the writers of the remake took away major element from original that make fans enjoyed. They took away the isolation and the aftrmath of the world, mostly the isolation, that the orginal had that made the story and movie. The remake from the trailers did not right to call it a remake.
Dawn had the same setting but from a different POV had the right elements like the mall and the isolation from original but not this one.

The Vingster,Mena Suvari and Gun from Angel plus zombies and action, looks good to me:up:

How do you know? Have you read the script? Also the Day of the Dead movie was the worst of them all. I've never seen a more boring uninteresting film. All of the others were awesome. I'm sure die hard Romero fans might totally disagree but I know plenty of dead fans who hated that film including myself. Dawn deserved a much better follow up. Isolation is one thing but watching people do nothing in isoloation for 2 hours is boring.

I'm still looking forward to this. But for me, anything with zombies makes it a must watch automatically, and this has a decent cast to boot.

This is the most literal 'in name only' I have ever seen.

Unless they remade DOTD2

Well I guess I have this and the Black Christmas remake to not look forward to:o

I'm there. I see nothing in the trailer or in the description to draw a conclusion that I'm not going to watch it or that it's a bad movie.

This movie looks like crap.....Sci-Fi channel crap.
Oh well, I'll give it a shot, because I loved Dawn Of The Dead (remake) so much. ;)

Just so you are warned- this film will suck like every other remake that has ever been made in the history of horror cinema.
W/ the single exception of The Fly/1986.

^ Really? So The Thing sucked?

Dont' tell me that was a sequel either just because it takes place after the events of what happend in the first film like 30 years prior. It was a stand alone film. I also thought the remaks of the Japanese horror flicks are kind of cool as well. The dawn of the dead remake didnt' suck either. It's all a matter of opinion though. There also remaking a story that will be annouced soon with a monster budget that will make everyone here crap in their pants...twice with glee. :) News will be out real soon on that. He he he.

True Lies sucked? Wow. And Scarface? Damn. And the Dawn of the Dead remake, which got overwhelmingly positive reviews, sucked too? And the Thing?

Well thank god for you buddy, I was thinking those movies were all great. Darn :(

I didn't know True Lies was a remake, but that wasn't a horror film. Evil Dead 2 was more of a remake than a sequel.

The first ten minutes remake the first Evil Dead, since they didn't have the rights to the original footage.

In other words, Evil Dead 2 is just that. Part two.

I know what it's called but it just seemed like rehash with a tad more money and better F/X.

Ugh. Just watched the trailer. Or part of it. I couldn't finish it. It looked nothing like the original. Blah, no need to see this.
