I doubt that Domestic box office is a concern to Fox. It's the global numbers that matter.

Domestic is very important to Fox. That is where you retain the the most money. After they get their cut and finish taxing and tariffing you to death in foreign markets, sometimes there is not much left. China takes about 75% of the gross there. That is why studios are always looking for their big blockbusters to make at least $100 million there for it to be worth it. That is why they sent a popular Jackman to China to promote.

I don't know why people think the foreign market is a golden goose unless you have a much lower budget or having Transformers like blow outs? It helps, but is not the life saver everyone think it is. A dollar is not a dollar in this situation.

Domestic adds to WW box office.

If Maleficent only gets 40 million and DOFP drops below that it Is a Godzilla type drop.

To get close to what the last stand got In 2006 It would better for DOFP to do 40 to 50 Million In second weekend.Under 40 million would be bad.

Tom Cruise's new movie Is getting good reviews and that may mean nothing too.

I saw the trailer for Cruise's new movie when I saw DOFP and it looked good, but I thought: This would be better or more interesting with a new, different person. Just not Cruise. I don't hate him or anything, but I feel like I saw he in the same movie just a minute ago.

He is one star who works his butt off when he does films especilly action films.

Primly people want to see him nowadays In Mission Impossible films but still jack reacher did 100 million domesticly despite opening at end of 2012 after first hobbit and he helped Obvilion to 45 million opening weekend.The film wasn't able to sustain the intrest.

He's a better actor in indie films. Action films there isn't much acting there, more stunt display than anything.The big budget, epic movies that he does now are getting very annoying. He's a better actor in films like Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut and Jerry Maguire.

Jack Reacher grossed 80 million domestically and Oblivion opened with 37million.

I can look through Cruise's personal life. I'm not a "Rock of ages" guy, but everything else he's done lately is pure entertainment. I even think very highly of Oblivion. One of my favorite movies of 2013. He's a definition of movie star and he really cares about the final product. I respect the guy enormously in what he does. I will definitely go see and/or buy Edge of tomorrow.

Just went to Tumblr and saw that Hugh went to Japan to have a premiere night for X-Men! I thought they wouldn't have one when they posted the X-perience video with all the premiere dates and Tokyo wasn't included.

DOFP probably won't earn that big in Japan but I hope the premiere helps.

Looks fine. I think they'll have a few different looks for him over time, and hopefully one of those is the classic look. Btw you know there is a forum just for X-Men: Apocalypse?

While I love DOFP, my biggest problem with Apocalypse is that I don't fully trust Singer.

That after credit scene was great and I do have some faith but I don't trust him making Apocalypse like I would Whedon with Thanos or Zack Snyder with Darkseid.

I hope he can make Apocalypse look like that though.

Actully I trsut him with Apocalypse more than Snyder or Whedon.

Thanos Is out of whedon's capailities to do right.Loki Is kind of villain whedon had on Buffy.As for Snyder I have never liked any of his films the way I have Singer's.His direction Is what worrys me for Batman V Superman and Justice league.

Singer will get the seriousness of Apocalypse and with Apocalypse described as diaster film I am sure we will see Apocalypse and his forces level citys to
cull the weak from the earth.

I just don't think design wise, Singer will make Apocalypse like Apocalypse. I trust the writing due to Simon is involved but design wise, I don't think Singer will make Apocalypse look like Apocalypse like how Whedon made Thanos look like Thanos and Snyder would make Darkseid look like Darkseid.

After post credit scene of DOFP I doudt Apocalypse will be looking normal.

I care more about charicatazion than perfectly looking like In COmics.And that Is something
I trust Singer with more.

That's true. He gave Wolverine yellow and blue. Gave Magneto crimson red and purple a bit. Beast was very light blue. Bishop looked perfect. Iceman with the slide and all iced up.

Everyone in the future did have too much black body armor. I just want to see Apocalypse huge and powerful like in the comics or animated series or X-Men Legends 2. Go with X-Men Legends 2.
