Well Hugh did say DOFP rejuvenated him in relation to the character in a way he didn't know possible, so clearly he's not ready to pass it on just yet.

They are. Since Fassbender and Lawrence's careers have really blown up since First Class, it's seemed like they'll be likely to leave once they do the third film they're obligated to do, because at this point it's holding them back from the kinds of roles they're being offered now.



Fassbender seemed really cool when we saw him at the premiere, and it seemed like he was enjoying himself. The whole cast was really pretty awesome that night.

They were asked who was coming back for Apocalypse, and James said he and Michael were, "unless we screw up, they tell us we suck and we're terrible at our jobs and they fire us". Hugh said DOFP would pretty much answer that question...which it pretty did. He's soooooo coming back for Apocalypse.

Yeah I think Apocalypse will be the end for Fassy and Lawrence too, maybe even McAvoy as well and Hugh will have his own personal send off with Wolverine 3. I think they are at the stage now where money is not the biggest factor in their decision making.

I'd love to see Alan come back, but it was no secret that he had a lot of issues, not the least of which was the makeup.

That White House scene in X2 was unbelievable would love for him to come back. Although doesn't everyone else think that Apocalypse will be set with the First Class cast? So most likely in the 80s I'd say. Of course Wolverine could easily return as they could just meet him much earlier. I'd also love it if they brought in a young Cyclops and Jean in the next one.

I think I remember hearing that he and Bryan didn't exactly get along, but that seemed to be said a lot back then. The makeup however was supposedly a nightmare for him, and he's such a fussy little guy. He said it was so hard to have those people in your face all morning long, but hell. His was only about half of what Romijin's was. There was way more detail with those tats on his face though, so I can see where that would mentally stretch any person.

In X:A they will play 55yo Xavier and Magneto.
They're too young to play 60+ characters in 90's. Too much of makeups for one movie. Already in DOFP we didn't have Mystique in blue form and Hank in Beast form for the whole movie.

Here's the thing it was filmmakers who dropped Nightcrawler from last stand
not him.He had said even though e wasn't a fan of makeup he would have
done it again.

The I didn't get along with singer stories were all overblown.Part of reasons why
so many OT cast came back for DOFP was him directing.

Alan Cumming has said he would have come back if they would ask him and said he was never asked to come back for DOFP.We know Nightcrawler was considered for DOFP befoe they opted to have blink.And since Cumming hasn't made a X-Men film since X2 he has no reason to lie to people.

Does anyone know of any films that have alternate/directors cuts on DVD/BLU RAY??!! I just want to know feel assured ( until one's officially announced) that some do exist. Fox is branding this film as a "critical success". Just want to see how the Rogue scenes and how played out. And an extended edition seems unlikely, because if put back in it's an entirely different movie. Do you think they would make one?

I know of several films. If you mean x-men movies, then you only have The Wolverine, its extended cut is 11-12 minutes longer.

I'd pay for an alternate cut of DOFP though.

I really hope Nick comes back as Beast.

Then we could have Beast, Nightcrawler, Wolverine in one film and all I'm missing is Bishop and then I have my 4 favorite X-Men. Bishop could show up though.

Same. People usually are not too fond of him or his role, but I like having that one likable and somewhat simple character around. I like him being there. It's something you don't necessarily notice until he's gone.

They could teach little Scott, Jean, Nightcrawler, and Storm.

Beast could slowly start to quote different authors. And people (Logan) would give him **** for that. It would be great.

Beast better say "oh my stars and garters." Kelsey Beast said it in X3.

Maybe he could say it when he meets Nightcrawler. He sees his powers and how it's similar to Azarzl (got no clue how to spell it) and how he's blue and puts 2 and 2 together.

Maybe becomes a father figure to the lad.

Since trilogy and WOlverine films are now erased we have never had a X-men
VS Magneto film. Since Ian Mckellen wasn't part of altered future ending of DOFP
then Michael fassbneder Is only Magneto of series now

Well just because he wasn't shown, it doesn't mean he's dead. If he is dead than there isn't Fassbender either as Magneto.

And there is only one Magneto and Professor X - they're just older/younger versions of the character.

It's one X-Men movie every two years. Scarjo manages to find tine doing smaller non-franchise movies between her MCU ones which are almost every year so Fass and Lawrence's can easily work it around their schedules

The question Is do they want to.I see nothing to suggest Lawrence isn't gone
the minute APocalypse Is released.fassbender at least tries to act like he's
excited to be part of X-Men films.

Again from what I have heard Mcavoy may be only one from FC cast who Is
telling the truth about contuning on.

Exactly she did minimal promation for DOFP.Ellen Page did more press than
lawrence.If Hugh jackman could take time away from shooting DOFP to promate the wolverine your telling me Lawrence can't take a bit of time away from hungar games to promate DOFP and at least act like she cares about franchise.She signed up for X-men before hungar games.

Yea I think Jennifer thinks she is to big for a X-Men film. She seems to have an ego I felt. I don't think McCoy or Fassbender would have an ego. I mean look who they are playing and look at who Jennifer is playing. I wouldn't mind if she left. Keep Nick, Fassbender, and McCoy though from First Class.
