I honestly didn't think this first issue was too bad at all. Varient is correct, we've all read far, far worse Titans stories. Hell, one of them is still ongoing as we speak.

I think it's just that Winick is one of the single most inconsistently-skilled writers on the planet, and we all know it, so the trepidation of his work often crosses over to the reality of his work.

I'm thinking you running into something like when Thunderbolts went suddenly "fightclub" Mess like that is what forced me to put a number on "sub-par" comics.

Before thunderbolt "Fightclub" - I would have ridden out the suckitude for as long as I had money in the hope that it would return to what I liked in the first place.

I don't have an opinion on Winnick other than Juniper Lee was much better than Jake Long.

I don't really see why anyone should even need to have an opinion on it; it's not as if it's some big controversial character surprise. Trigon has kids other than Raven. *shrug* Is that special? Should we have an opinion? Whether or not the kids will be portrayed well is another story, one that hasn't actually appeared on-panel yet.
