If you did it already, I apologize, I looked back, (not every page) but didn't come across it.

Batman: Soul Of The Dragon (2021)

No problem.

I did a casting and sets post after I watched it . It's on page 13 , and it's the 10th post on page 13.

I went with Eastwood as Batman and Bruce Lee as Bruce Dragon, among the more well known actors. Even though the Batman in Soul of the Dragon is very un- Eastwood, I went with Clint since he's my ideal 60s through 70s era "What if?" Batman.

Turning back the clock & keeping Jack is a good choice. I think he was very good in Batman '89.
Gene Wilder as the Mad hatter is a A+ choice
Anthony Perkins, if it wasnt for Jack, I would say would make a good Joker also. But he would do well as Scarecrow too.

I never thought of Perkins as a potential Joker, but now that you suggest it, I think he probably could have done a good job in that role as well.

Background
Joel Schumacher gets his wish as Warner Brothers greenlights a Year One adaptation after liking the pitch for a prequel to producer Tim Burton's two films. Since this is set in a universe that has already used villains like The Joker, The Penguin and Catwoman, the antagonists will be Gotham PD in a more grounded, realistic movie for the MTV generation. Harvey Dent is years away from being named Assistant District Attorney, so no Billy Dee Williams. But, Tommy Lee Jones will still be an antagonist in the third Batman film, just as a different one. And Michael Keaton returns as Bruce Wayne to narrate his first year as The Batman. Thus, this is a loose adaptation of the comic while setting the stage for Batman 89. Gone is the timeless atmosphere of Batman and Batman Returns as Year One captures the time before supervillains and shows Gotham's resemblance to a real-world crime-ridden city from the late 70s and early 80s. Think Serpico but with Batman in it.

Story
Set in 1978, we follow the hero's journey of a 25-year old Bruce Wayne as he becomes Batman after returning to Gotham following his parents' deaths and helps newcomer to the city, then-Lieutenant Gordon in cleaning up the corruption in his department. With his pregnant wife, Ann, at home, Gordon receives a larger role then in previous films as he is under extreme pressure when facing obstacles like an affair with Detective Sarah Essen, the cat-and-mouse game with partner Detective Arnold Flass and Commissioner Gillian Loeb betraying his trust by secretly working with the mob to blur the lines between law and order and chaos. Luckily, The Batman instills hope back into Gordon and Gotham City as a whole by going head-on with the criminals that roam the streets and exposing the police that let them go scots free.

Along the way, Bruce worries Alfred by taking on the entire criminal underworld but makes an unexpected ally in teenage prostitute, Holly Robinson, and gets her to turn her life around. With the GCPD's shading dealings with the mob coming to light, Commissioner Loeb becomes desperate and declares war on Batman before having Detective Flass kidnap Ann as well as Gordon's newly born daughter, Barbara, at gunpoint. With The Batman's help, Gordon is able to take out Loeb's men while saving his family. In a weird twist of fate, Gordon sees The Dark Knight without his mask but lets him go as he cannot make out Bruce's face without his glasses. In the aftermath, Gordon reconciles with Ann and becomes the new Captain of the Gotham City Police Department following Loeb's resignation. The film ends with Captain Gordon creating the Bat-Signal to solidify his partnership with The Caped Crusader, who begins to grow comfortable in his duality.

Harley Quinn, the Joker's daughter, tries to get revenge on Batman for the Joker's death, forming an alliance with Scarecrow to lead him to madness and lock him in Arkham Asylum. The Joker returns as a hallucination in Batman's mind caused by the Scarecrow's fear toxin. Dick Grayson has left to become Nightwing but he returns during the final battle to help his mentor. Bruce Wayne is in self-imposed seclusion from life, because he feels he has lost his greatest weapons in the fight against crime: his mystique and his enemies' fear. Dick Grayson attends Dr. Jonathan Crane uses his position as professor of psychology at Gotham University and as resident psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum to conduct his experiments in fear. During a vengeful confrontation with a colleague, Dr. Kirk Langstrom, Jonathan Crane unknowingly initiates Kirk's transformation into the creature known as Man-Bat. The unsuspecting denizens of Gotham scream for Batman's head, believing that Man-Bat's nightly hunts is the Dark Knight's bloodthirsty return to action. Bruce dons cape and cowl once more to clear his name and solve the mystery behind these attacks. Eventually, Dick ends up in Arkham Asylum under Crane's unsympathetic watch, and Kirk struggles with his "man vs. monster" syndrome as he longs to both reunite with his wife and get revenge on Crane. At the end of the film, Batman gives Commissioner Gordon a red cell phone, letting him know he's back on duty. As Batman's cape flutters in the wind a crow flies by him and lands by the window of Tetch's Clothing Shop, the silhouette of a man with a tophat can be seen.

Yeah, as far as finishing them, they do take time in the sense that I have to find actors who all did 19th century period pieces around the same time or at least in the same decade.

I was lucky with Superman in that Chris Reeve did Somewhere in Time ,, and there were several 19th century period films in the mid to late 70s like Dracula, The Seven Percent Solution, The Wild Wild West revisited etc, in addition to several westerns.

I really dig the steampunk style and art , so I picked them for Flash, Batman, Superman, and Iron Man . They all seemed to be really suited for the whole Bram Stoker, H.G.Wells, Conan Doyle era of literary fiction.

Thankfully , there also a ton of steampunk and 19th century version art of these heroes that fans have made .So I can supplement the cast and sets with actual fan made designs.

My next plan is to do a Pirates and Mermaid like 19th of Aquaman complete with sea monsters, pirate ships and Islands.

For Wonder Woman , I plan on doing a 1860s civil war setting with Catherine Zeta Jones.

In terms of medieval, I'm gonna do Green Lantern , with the Lantern corps as Knights , in sort of a Camelot style Roundtable with the Lady Carol Ferris and evil Knights turned Wizards like Sinestro!
