I do worry about that, but then I remember Reeves could of made Apes something like that and didn't. He really walked the line well imo. I also remember Zoe Kravitz is Selina and suddenly all my objections vanish. What can I say, I am easy.

Here's the other thing to remember, and it may not alleviate any concerns. I think they are more likely to go the Aronofsky route simply to avoid comparisons with Nolan. Unfortunately, I do in some way think Nolan's legacy is firmly attached to the character, especially with the grounded realism he went for. I look at this new grounded suit and Batmobile and as much as I don't like the aesthetics I say to myself "what other direction could they possibly have gone?".

Because even as I find it pretty awful, I guess it's by far the most popular? No wonder WB keeps getting the wrong idea.

Honestly, that speaks volumes about these events. I understand why this year is a bit of a write off, but honestly, after this and Comic-con, these events don't lend themselves well to this format.
