God, this place is dead. Anyway, here are the June solicits.

Nothing too interesting, I suppose. I hate -- hate -- that Adam Strange has gone back to his old costume. And what the hell is with Bruce Jones' Checkmate arc not having anything whatsoever to do with the Checkmate that we've been reading about?

On the plus side, good to see that the usual suspects are still a part of GLC. I was starting to feel a bit Natuless these past months. And the Brave and the Bold looks like a fun issue.

GREEN LANTERN CORPS #25
Written by Peter J. Tomasi
Art and cover by Patrick Gleason & Prentis Rollins
The epic battle against Mongul begins here, as the true origin of the Black Mercy is revealed! The Green Lantern Corps find itself pitted not only against Mongul to save Sodam and Arisia, but an entire planet made of Black Mercys that seem to be under the control of a quite possibly darker and more disturbing force. This creature the Corps will come to fear is known simply as Mother Mercy — and it has no plans of showing any now or ever.
Good God. I wish they'd give that damn Black Mercy a friggin' rest already. :whatever:

At least the Despero figure shown towards the bottom of the page looks cool.

God, this place is dead.
I think the reason for that is that some d-bag went and resurrected about ten of the dumbest threads this board has ever seen. Seriously, are there really some new layers of discourse to be had in the Power Girl Just Because Thread?

Trinity--OK. I'll read it.

Final Crisis #2--Wow, I'm starting to think Morrison really is going to include literally every character that has ever appeared in a DC comic. I can't imagine how he'd ever pull that off, but if there's one guy to do it right, it's him.

Reign in Hell #1--I really don't know about this. I'm not sure this is going to be a very good idea.

Titans #3--Random hook-ups? You know, actually, that's not why I read comics, for the random hook-ups.

Teen Titans #60--Finally, the "evil analogue of the Teen Titans" story that really changes the status quo! No, really!

Tangent #4--In the Tangentverse, every superhero and supervillain is totally different. Except Batman. The God of Prep Time is unchanging.

Batman #678--Everyone can just shut the **** up now about hating Morrison's Batman run. This arc is going to kick ass.

Superman #677--YES ROBINSON

Detective Comics #845--What fan-favorite Bat-character could they bring back? Spoiler?

Robin/Spoiler--Oh, well, no, can't be Spoiler. They've apparently already done that.

Robin #175--They really want me to believe that Tim Drake is about to become Batman.

Batman Confidential #18--Wait...did they really just say "HOTT GRLFIGHT WITH SUPRHEROEZ!!11!!"?

Action Comics #866--I sense that Brainiac is about to get the Parallax-in-GL-Rebirth treatment. But there's no Hal Jordan for Johns to give the Supermantle back to, is there?

Justice Society of America #17--...oh yeah, there's KC Supes.

Superman/Batman #49--Superman has some ******* friends. Weren't Pete Ross and Emil Hamilton both Ruin, for example? Now another friend is turning crazie? Good grief.

Supergirl #30--Supergirl can bring people back to life? Seriously?

All-New Atom #24--What is Ryan Choi's connection to Ray Palmer? Haven't we been asking that question for about twenty issues now?

Booster Gold #10--According to the cover, an evil, shadowy Blue Beetle has commanded a cadre of elite gunmen, Supernova, Max Lord, Booster Gold, Despero, and Blue Beetle, to shoot me.

Brave and the Bold #14--Finally, a Waid B&B issue that looks exciting and fun. It's been a few issues.

Checkmate #27--Wait...what?

Green Arrow/Black Canary #9--How long can Winick possibly milk this Connor Hawke thing?

Flash #241--I think I could get used to Tom Peyer writing Flash.

Green Lantern Corps #25--So wasn't Sodam Yat supposed to be, like, Ion or something? Like, the most powerful mother****er this side of the Guardians? Are we ever gonna see anything at all about that?

Manhunter #31--First of all, **** YES. Second of all, I thought Kate was a defense attorney now? Third of all, anyway, **** YES.

Justice League of America #22--Oh no, Hero-Fight! But oh yes, Red Tornado gets a body. But oh no, this doesn't look like it starts any meaningful plot threads. But oh yes, it also doesn't look like some stupid editorially mandated ********. Also, Animal Man.

Super Friends #4--Yeah, I'm seriously checking this series out.

Justice League Unlimited #46--Looks like a pretty good sendoff issue for a pretty OK series.

Number of the Beast--Looks pretty good. Can I perhaps expect new ongoings for The Authority and WildC.A.T.S.?

The Secret History of the Authority Jack Hawksmoor #4--Maybe I can't expect a new ongoing. Perhaps The Authority is destined to continue in miniseries ad infinitum.

Madame Xanadu #1--Is this DCU Xanadu? I'm totally checking this out.

100 Bullets #92--Woo, God I love this book.

House of Mystery #2--I didn't even know this book was launching. I love the way DC gives its Vertigo books so much publicity.

Hellblazer #245--Remember when people would write this book for more than a few months in a row?

Mark Waid spat in Vertigo's face and used Deadman anyway?

What the hell is Checkmate on about? Has Bruce Jones even read anything?

**** Vertigo's lame-ass imitation Deadman. He's a good DCU character, and that series got cancelled anyway, didn't it?

Possibly. I think it was Bruce Jones writing it as well.

Bruce Jones is starting to feel like Rob Liefeld for writers. Is there anybody who likes his ****?

His Hulk is the best, thats why they based the movie off his run.

Jason. Todd. Octopus. Monster.

That should be a movie. :o:up:

Oh you couldn't watch it. Your eyes would explode from all the amazing.
