DC Relaunching Everything?

They did Doctor 13 together, which was outlandish compared to virtually anything else. But also unbelievably awesome. I'm a big fan of Chiang in general, so I'm fine with him. Azzarello's a bit of an oddball choice, but then again, the last great Wonder Woman writer had a big crime fiction background too (Greg Rucka, if that really needs to be spelled out). Could be a stroke of genius... or it could be so terrible it'll give me a stroke. Either way, I want to see it.

Bit early to claim that something which hasn't happened yet has changed the industry. Hopefully it works out, but I'm not really holding my breath.

I haven't read that, but I kind of hope they bring that to Wonder Woman. I'll be kind of disappointed if it ends up being like the grim 'n gritty take most are expecting. It might still be good, but still.

Ah, and there it is. I figured this wasn't the hard reboot a lot of people were jumping to conclusions about. I bet the actual amount of hard changes may not be nearly what people were estimating.

That's all just your standard hype. The important stuff was him saying it wasn't a full reboot along with the pricing being revealed.

I wonder how drastic they're going to be changing people's origins. :D

Thomas and Martha Wayne had an only daughter, who was orphaned after their death and became the Batwoman to avenge their death...

duh duh DUH!

as I have been saying since it was announced books that are working Batman family and GL and others will continue as is...just with a number one

I unintentionally dropped everything. Dropped Superman at #702. Grounded is terrible, though I heard good things about Roberson. Dropped Batman at #709, Inc at
#2 Red Robin at #20 and I bought the first GL issue that began War of the Green Lanterns. However this announcement got me straight back in, today I bought Batman & Robin, Inc 3-6 and the first two issues of Flashpoint. Tomorrow I might pick up some GLC and the Flashpoint minis.

"Its a relaunch not a reboot"

In other words, more confusing crap where they cherry pick what stories do and do not count. Typical DC fail.

So glad they are going to #1's with everything. Will make it so easy to drop their books for me.

I don't care about the status of the reboot, to be honest. Another partial reboot is going to be just as irritating to me as a full reboot would've been, if it follows the same path of the post-Infinite Crisis stuff, where we weren't sure for months whether Wonder Woman or Black Canary or both were or weren't founding Justice Leaguers and s*** like that. I intend to go into the post-relaunch titles forgetting everything I ever thought I knew about the characters and treating them as fully rebooted, new characters anyway. Save myself some mental anguish.

I wonder what Wally's going to be wearing now, since Barry's costume now has the V-shaped belt.

If they don't change it again, Wally has a distinct costume now. Darker Red, Straight cut cowl with lenses and the DCAU flash logo on his chest.

OMG there is no pleasing you people...you rant and rave against a reboot and ask why they didnt just streamline the stories instead and when they reveal thats what they are doing...you guys still complain

The fact that you think that means you should be most ashamed of all. :nono:

Or it means that I am above shame. As I am above the curve. It all makes sense now.

It does to me. You'll get there someday. I believe in you.

Who are you talking to...?

sorry but i dont see how this is a bad thing...its a relaunch not a reboot. Just like how Waid's DD is a relaunch or Bru's Cap #1.
What DC is doing is in an attempt to help the industry. If things continue we'll be paying $5,6,7 an issue for comics...and Im old enough to remember when comics were .75 cents...
...instead of giving it a chance some of you are crying fail already

Well, okay, but of all the people that posted after that article, only like one person really outright complained or anything.

'Kay, whatevs. :o

So, now that we know DC has apparently been planning to relaunch everything at once for a while, it kind of makes me wonder: How many s***ty recent stories have been the result of DC just approving whatever to tread water until the relaunches? How many Bart-then-Wally-when-Barry-was-coming-back-all-along situations are we really looking at here?

its been building up inside me since the naysayers started freaking out at the rumors...sorry to get all nutty McCrazy
