Eh I'm behind on reading anyway. I've only read up to issue 10. My Local store was out of issue 14 by the time I got there, so I guess I'll have to pick it up later.

I think while I still like Batman, King...just isn't great with the dialogue. Its very...repetitive and static.

Hmmm...this is turning out EXACTLY how I feared...it feels a lot like a typical Marvel event. We have enough of those. DC, be better than this.

The Fall & Rise of Captain Atom 1 B-
I'm assuming this takes place well before Rebirth, at the peak of New 52, since Hal is still on Earth and the Superman here is clearly New 52 Superman, and at the risk of being called a racist (or a black man who hates black characters somehow...), I didn't like Eiling being changed to black, probably because the Bruce Timm/JL animated series Eiling is my head-canon Eiling, and making him look like the spitting image of Keith David? I didn't even realize that was supposed to be Eiling..

I'd give JL vs SS a C.
I'd give Nightwing B- and Superman an A
Aquaman was a solid A for me. It's been one of my top 3 titles in Rebirth

I didn't give Aquaman a fair try, only because the reviews I have read/heard (podcasts) said the at-the-time arc was another Atlantis at war with the Land arc, and it seems like that, and the struggle for the throne of Atlantis, has become the only stories in Aquaman, so I passed. What has been going on in Rebirth Aquaman?

Funny how you put that. It's a war between Atlantis and America story...but a darn good one with Manta playing the role of instigator. It probably is a rehash but the execution has been superb

I have to give DC Rebirth props for really getting me back into comics again. For the past couple years, I would follow a handful of monthly/bi-monthly titles throughout the year and would pick up a handful of trades. Now, I'm at my comic shop 2 or 3 times a month and have been following a dozen or more titles since #1.

Although it has definitely become a very expensive hobby once again, it feels good.

This is cool. I hope this means we don't need to be subjected to any more of those embarrassingly god awful Neal Adams variants. That dude may be a legendary comic artist, but he needed to retire a long time ago.

He undoubtedly hates it, but considering he's done a number of projects over the years deconstructing/contextualizing other writers' creations for his own storytelling needs, I don't really care all that much.

Superman is the best that DC is offering at the moment IMO. It's the title I look forward to most.
