DC to "Rebirth" in June - Part 1

I didn't mind the blue boots until I saw them in the preview of his Titans appearance. Just looked off. This looks better.

Nice. Miss the cuffs, thought they were a good touch.

This belt is better than the weird diamond-and-tapered-lines belt we had previously. Eventually, though, people are going to figure out that the reason they keep redesigning the belt is because the costume needs trunks.

The should probably go ahead and just bring the trunks back. I mean, this is by far the best version of the trunksless suit we've had, and I like it, but it still feels like they've not really figured it out.

Still a good move.

EDIT: Exactly, Saint.

The trunks are dead. Bury them. :o

I'd sooner bury you. :argh:

Also:

The solicits mention that the Kents (not the Whites or the Smiths) will be moving back to Metropolis.

Looks good to me. Superman is the best of the Rebirth titles IMHO. Red Hood & The Outlaws is the most underrated.

kind of confused how many super girls titles are there are there two now or am i missing something.

There's the regular ongoing called Supergirl, and now an out-of-continuity miniseries called Supergirl: Being Super.

While I like Superman's new suit I still think they should've went with the Man of Steel look. I just love how that suit looks and would love to see it in the comics just like how Wonder Woman is wearing her SvB suit.

I'll miss the cuffs as well.

And the best way to make the belt work is to make it one. See: MOS.

I was really into Declan Shalvey's Batman in his brief stint on the All-Star backups. Barrows art in Detective is also doing it for me.

I don't think there's any Adventures of Supergirl at the moment, but I think a little while back Gates made it sound on Twitter like he could be doing something Supergirl related soon.

There's just something about Eddie Barrows' art that takes a comic up a whole level for me. When he was on Nightwing it was my favorite title. The very issue he left and suddenly I became bored with it. I just really like his feel and style. He's been amazing on Detective.

How good are the Teen Titans Rebirth comics? I want to really try reading these one day and seeing if it'll atleast be close to as good as clsssic NTT. However I want to know if I should bother?

If I still bought a whole lot of monthly comics, I'd probably be irritated, but as it is, I buy even less than I used to because my nearest shop got closed. I guess we'll see if this impacts the price of the trades.

I couldn't imagine spending five bucks on All Star Batman. Of these titles Red Hood and the Outlaws is far and away my favorite. And that's a sentence I never imagined I'd type a year ago.

Glad the regular titles haven't gone up in price. Aquaman remains my favorite series.

All-Star Batman has been just horrendous. It's not worth $3 let alone $5.

King's Batman has been a bit of a letdown as well. Every issue feels like it is trying to set up something bigger. But there's never any payoff.

But All Star has been garbage. It's everything wrong with Snyder without any of his good qualities. It's unnecessarily grandiose, over the top in violence and relies too heavily on shock value. Makes me wonder how much of Snyder's previous success was due to Capullo's art which was the best Batman has ever looked.
