Why even tell the Robins not to get involved? You might as well tell them exactly when and where to show up when Bane comes knocking. Also glad Jason felt naturally like one of the family. New 52 really helped his character a lot.

Red Hood and the Outlaws has been the most improved title in Rebirth imho. (Edging out Superman.

This recent Batman issue was the first so far in this run that I enjoyed a ton. And the recent Detective issue was great, that series hasn't disappointed.

I liked the Catwoman two-parter. Outside of that, King's problem is that his Batman arcs start soooo good and end kinda...just okay?

Like the Gotham Twins arc was really interesting. But what was up with the last part? Alfred just randomly driving around in the Batmobile? Wearing a very loose Batcowl cause, why? The JL showing up just cause? I mean we hardly ever see the JL show up in Batman arcs, and they appear just to lose swiftly?

The Bane story gave us this awesome build up of a clean Bane and the promise of a Batman Suicide squad, and what do we get? Batman just lets Bane beats him without a fight, because why? And the impossible mission those villains Batman needed was pretty...meh.

Yeah it's been very disappointing, but the last issue I enjoyed. And I hope it leads to a really good arc.

Between the animated DTV and a potential live action film in the coming years, I wonder if Justice League Dark, or really any variation of a supernatural team-up book, will get a Rebirth at some point.

DC Rebirth has saved comics for me. Red Hood is still an unbelievable feat in itself, Action Comics has me wanting the next issue, like a child eager for Christmas, every issue...Detective Comics has made me care about Azreal and Luke Fox. And I still haven't dropped Wonder Woman?! I actually stuck with a WW book beyond five issues?!!

I want to fit Suicide Squad in my rotation.

Deathstroke/Titans/Teen Titans crossover coming up, THE LAZARUS CONTRACT

Anyone reading New Super-Man? It's getting Morrison level stuff. :wow: And the last page of the most recent issue... They weren't kidding when they said they would bring back old characters during Rebirth.

I just added New Superman to my pulls. I'm only through #4, but I am very pleasantly surprised. Kind of an Asian Booster Gold meets Superman thing going on and I love it. It totally works.

Really didn't like New Super-Man #1. It just seemed unbelievable that supervillains and open conspiracy meetings would be tolerated by the PRC government. Plus, the lead character is obnoxious.

I read Aquaman #12 yesterday. Very pleasantly surprised. Aquaman world building! Extremely overdue.

I view the conspiracy aspects of New Superman as being more akin to how government conspiracies are handled in, say The Bourne movies. That makes me more able to suspend disbelief. Plus Kenan is a punk, but that makes his journey all the better. I loved the first arc. The Morrison comparison is fitting.

I've never really been a fan of David Finch's art, but I gotta say he killed it on this week's Batman. The first Finch book I ever read was moon Knight, and the amount he's improved is crazy.

I'm not digging King's Batman run at all. Actually it's been grating at times. But Finch's art was great in the last issue.

Agreed, and I love the way Batman and Bane were drawn in this issue.

^ The Batman/Flash crossover event that's coming up.

Seeing Reverse Flash there has me hyped AF.

Looks good to me. Superman is the best of the Rebirth titles IMHO. Red Hood & The Outlaws is the most underrated.
Agree about the Superman line. I want to like the Batman line but to me, it just doesn't compare with either Morrison or Snyder. The Batman Rebirth concepts seem okay but I find the executions lacklustre. The Santa Prisca plotline for example. Great concept. But they make it an unsatisfying and confused mess, which is bizarre. I liked the recent interaction with Catwoman though.

Curious to see how he and Flashpoint Batman factor into this. Obviously, Flashpoint marked a turning-point between Post-Crisis and New 52, but I wonder how the bloody smiley face button leads there.

RF's chest has the Watchmen blood splatter. :woot:

DC came out and said that publishing is just as important as the films. The films bring in the big bucks, but publishing will forever be the source material and they're the trail blazers in that regard.

Such a refreshing thing to hear.
