DC Universe - Superman: Man of Tomorrow

The 2020 DC Universe Movie slate will then wrap up with a standalone film called Superman: Man of Tomorrow, making this the first time two Superman-centered DC Universe Movies will be released in the same year. Unlike Red Son, Man of Tomorrow will be a fully original story featuring a young Superman early in his career. We’ll have to wait for additional details on what we can expect from this one, including who the villain or villains of the movie may be and what other characters may appear alongside the Man of Steel.

Superman isn't a character I've ever really been able to get into, although I do like some of his stories which centre around the moral questions of what he should/shouldn't do (such as Kingdom Come, Red Son, Injustice). I'll keep an eye on this.

The longer I am around the more I realize what a wonderful character Superman really is. I would really enjoy his character coming into more prominence again.

Even the mediocre Superman stories are pretty good - I'm a bit sad that Superman Unbound failed to capture the essence of Superman: Brainiac, although I suspect the artwork in the comic book contributed a lot to the feel of the story and captures Superman's emotions beautifully.

It was announced last year as an original, standalone Superman movie, so I don't think this is kicking off the new continuity (however they choose to approach it).

The only one that strikes me as odd is Dalton as Lobo, and that’s mainly because his name is right next to Ryan Hurst’s and that dude just screams Lobo in any medium.

I literally cannot imagine Superman with Darren's voice no matter how hard I try. I'm watching him in Hollywood as we speak, closing my eyes trying to imagine it. It ain't happening, lol. But maybe he'll pull off some vocal gymnastics and prove me wrong.

EW made a mistake with the casting regarding those two. The article has since been updated. Ryan Hurst is indeed Lobo and Brett Dalton is Parasite.

I only found out about this yesterday with the Entertainment Weekly article, and I'm super stoked about it in a way I haven't been about any of the DC Animated Movies in years.
Between this and the new "Looney Tunes Cartoons," Warner Bros. Animation is on a roll (also looking forward to the new "Animaniacs")!

I watched the sneak peek for this today it’s very much the beginnings of Clark becoming Superman and borrows heavily from American Alien.
