I rather not they establish a solid origin for Joker. I prefer Moore's "multiple choice" possibility.
Has anyone read this? If so what happens in it?
I don't know if I'll get this or not. I may wait and get the new Joker mini-series by Brian Azzarello coming out in the summer.
^^i for one thought broken city was incredible. but even if you didnt like that one, you cant deny the amazingness he gave us with batman/deathblow: after the fire...all neatly packaged with some stellar bermejo art.
Last time Azzraello wrote Batman, he gave us a steaming pile of crap he named Broken City...so I think I'll be passing on that one unless the art is spectacular.
never read it...I read Broken City, and I gave For Tomorrow a shot when he did that with Jim Lee in Superman, and I hated both of them with a passion. He turned both Batman and Superman into whiney little b**ches who dont really do anything. And why couldn't Batman, the worlds greatest detective, solve the murder of one common hood? And how the f**k did the Joker know about any of it when he was in Arkham? And why would he care??? And the whole twist with the kid being the killer of his own parents was great the frist time I read it, in Hush, which happened right before Broken City...
Well, it's an unofficial "sequel" to the excellent "Lex Luthor: Man of Steel", produced by the Azzarello/Bermejo dream team. I'll definitely be giving it a look.
To be honest I think it is a pretty sweet cover except for the distortion of his faceWow. If I was considering getting this before, assuming this cover is some of what we'll be seeing, I'm going to skip this for sure. That's probably one of the uglier covers I've seen in a while.

Hmm i am a little inerested in reading it now would you maybe have a link to the comic online?I read it...the art is...unbalanced...some panels have great composition, and look almost dynamic, until you look at the details, which are all off...the writing is decent, although I've never liked the idea of Joker being a career criminal before his turn, although the way they're doing it is interesting. Having him be so good at what he does that he's just incredibly bored with it, until he sees Batman. I'm wondering if they're gonna have him become the Red Hood after being inspired by Batman, then get tossed into the chemicals at the end of the arc...it would all mesh up to the timeline it's in (42 weeks after he's first started, putting it near the end of Year 1, where Joker first shows up)...all in all, I'd give it a 6 out of 10, it would have been a 7 if the art was more consistent...
