I simply think Morena is better actress than Cobie.

While things have worked out well for morena marvel and whedon lost out on not casting Morena.

I don't really think they lost out on anything. And I'm not even an Avengers (meaning the movie itself) fan.
I've always liked the choice of Smulders - it's not such a typical and obvious choice for a role such as this (as fan favorites usually are), and I thought she did much better in the stronger Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Well, I barely remember her scenes in the Movie. That's how much of an impression she left on me.

Morena was nominated for emmy on Homeland.She Is great on Gotham.Her on it shows how bad erin Richards is.

I still can't believe CObie Smolders beat her for Maria Hill.To be frank I always viewed Morena as better actress.She even played villain fairly well on Stargate and V.

I can't believe Cobie beat her either. But I don't know if she even auditioned for the part or whether Whedon had already made up his mind before.

Morena was also a villain on the Mentalist.

What's so bad about Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill. I really liked her in the role, especialy in 'Cap 2.'

Cobie is bland, and just there.

Morena would've brought much more to the role, and I think that they probably would've given her more scenes to play with. She is also more visually striking than Cobie and more physically like Maria Hill in the comics.

Hill and Sif are thankless roles that should be done more with.

I wonder who will play Blind Al? I think it's cool changing her to a snappy old black momma.

Maria Hill just feels so uninspired and she just doesn't excite me.

And Morena Baccarin being in the film is definitely good news.

Maria Hill in the movies wasn't all that exciting of a role. With Captain America and Agents of SHIELD, it gets better, but it's not as interesting as the character in the comics. Victoria Hand's role in AoS is closer to Hill than anything.

Although Hill may be a thankless role, it might have been less thankless if Morena were in the part. She could've made it more memorable and fans would want to see more of her.

Morena is very attractive. When she showed up in the men's locker room in Gotham (how many women do that) to visit Gordon, and then he ended up kissing her, I felt a sudden urge to kiss her as well.

Hopefully she gets to shine in this film. I do think she could've done both this role and Maria Hill though, since the Hill part is rather small.

I find sometimes she reminds me a little of a Goldeneye era Famke Janssen.
