Sequels Deadpool Spin-off Confirmed

I quite liked the role Colossus played in the script. It was like that great dynamic between Cable and Deadpool, where we have one inherently good character trying to get one inherently flawed character to do the right thing. That ending scene was great, and helped bring out some of the more interesting aspects of DP's character, to make him more than just a wisecracking funny guy.

My only concern is that they present Colossus in a way where you need to have seen X-Men or know the comics to fully understand their relationship. That should be explained as clearly as possible.

Can anyone send me a PM? Can't find it online.

Colossus' appearance in the story sounds totally random and pointless.

Have you actually read it? He works quite well. It's not like the gratuitous cameos from Wolverine, he actually plays an important moral compass in a story that is otherwise essentially completely without morals and just pure bloodshed and fun.

I actually kind of like how it comes out of nowhere. Plus Deadpool's reaction:

"Colossus!"

Is the script in continuity with the other X-Films? If so, where does Colossus fit in? Is he younger or older? Is this a prequel to X2 and X3 or a sequel? Or are they vague so they can have their cake and eat it too?

i just hope Colossus looks like he did in X2 and not in X3. in X3 he looked like s**t!

Colossus looked incredible in X2...Colossus was one of the few things I was disappointed in in X3...

What they did with Collossus and Cyclops in X3 are a perfect example of the sloppy laziness in story telling from Brett Ratner. No explanation at all who Colossus was as a person, and Cyclops is completely undervalued as a character.

I haven't read the script, i kind of want to, but i want to be surprised by the film even more.
That being said, i really like the idea of Colossus and Cable being in any movie. Two of my favourite characters. But from what you guys have discussed, my personal view would be that Colossus doesn't need too much explanation - if audiences don't get into a big guy who has metal skin throwing large, heavy objects and people around then the World is just one huge dissappointment to me.....

Just hope neither are as poorly done as Piotr was in X3.

I'm just curious: is it the same Colossus from the X-Films and if it is, is it before or after them? I'm just really curious because now it seems like X3 and Wolverine have basically caused everyone to just ignore any continuity in these films.

Cable's not in it.

Also, regarding continuity, it doesn't seem strictly in line. For starters, it not only contradicts X-Men Origins Wolverine but it also pokes fun at it. I'd say with the X-Men stuff, it's more like what The Incredible Hulk was to Hulk, not a straight sequel but not exactly changing anything. Otherwise, it was pretty vague.

That's what I figured. I'm guessing by 2012 the X-Men films won't have any direct connection to each other at all anymore. Though they'll probably still stick them in an "X-Men Anthology" Blu-Ray set.

I would appreciate someone sending me the script. I'm very curious to read it.

Not sure if i already asked, but I'd like the script as well please

T'would be easier for you all to PM me, then I can just copy and paste the link from the one location.

Somewhere in the middle, when Deadpool is just hanging out in his flat talking to the camera.

Someone mind uploading it somewhere then PMing it to me? the link Wolvieboy sent doesnt have it there anymore

And yet you could bring yourself to overlook those things in X2?
