Deadpool & Wolverine Deadpool & Wolverine Spoiler Thread

Shooting for several hours for a 20 second cameo is a bit much.

Also, even if that shot with the cigarette needed 30 takes,
It's not about takes. A single shot can take hours to setup lighting, cameras, sets. And then you have to do it all over again for the next shot. Making movies is a long and boring process.

Sure, but they usually have stand-ins for that kind of stuff. And then they bring the actors.

I would imagine also they did a number of takes of the Cavillrine scene to make sure they had some left over if the one they liked didn't work.

They finally released the orchestral versions of “Like A Prayer” from the movie on Spotify!! The version they play in the finale is so epic

CG smoke always looks off
Good for him for doin it, but damn son, don't kill yourself for one 20 second scene

I also don't understand how that took eight hours to get right
He didn't need it for the glistening muscles shot, or for when he unleashed the claws
So one close up head-turn shot took 8 hours?

I was just about to say the exact same thing. It's no wonder movie budgets spiral out of control when a short cameo sequence like that allegedly took up what is likely an entire day of shooting.

There's either 6 or 7 hours of footage of Reynold's improving lines cut or maybe there was more of a beating given to Deadpool like Jackman's Weapon X variant gave to him that didn't make it.

There was a missed opportunity to give Dougray Scott a cameo as one of the Wolverine variants.

If he is so method that he stood there for 8 hours with a cigar in his mouth then I'm guessing he didn't use a stand in.

They want MCUWolverine who will differentiate from Wolverine Fox. too easy. Dont think Jackman's Wolverine (Fox or Yellow/blue) gave us all skills and abilities. MCUWolverine must be more martial artist, acrobatic like in comics. Versions of Jackman werent martial artists.
Wanted to see Wolverine from 838 or Beast.Binary earth
unfortunately Deadpool didnt travel into these worlds

-Update about multiverse in MCU , composed of
Sacred Timeline (main, Earth 616)
Raimiverse,
Webbverse,
Sonyverse
Freshman Year (Friendly Spiderman anime)
Earth 838
Earth of Beast/Binay
Earth of Worst Wolverine (yello blue)
Earth 10005 (Fox x-men saga)
also what if alternate realities and several worlds of variants Wolverine

-All previous Marvel Movies introduced into MCU
Blade trilogy : MCU, no confirmation if variant or not but seems Blade is the same version in the Void
X-men Fox movies : MCU
Spiderman Raimi 2002-2007: MCU
Daredevil/Elektra Fox 2003-2005: MCU, no confirmation if variant or not but seems Elektra is the same version in the Void
Hulk 2003 : not
Punisher 2004 : not
F4 Fox movies 2005-2007: MCU, not clear if variant or not but seems J.Storm is the same version in the Void
Ghost Rider Fox movies 2006-2012 : not (but almost)

Punisher Warzone : not
Spiderman Webb : MCU
F4 Fox reboot : not
of course Venomverse : setting in multiverse too

Nicholas Cage returning as Ghost Rider would have been awesome. Maybe for some other MCU film.

Only few live action Marvel films that have no connection with the MCU
-Howard the Duck 1986
-Hulk 2003
-The Punisher 2004
-Punisher: War Zone (Ray was in Thor movies)
-Ghost Rider 2007/12
-The New Mutants
-Madame Web
-Kraven the Hunter

Kraven is part of Venomverse so its part of MCU Multiverse
New mutants is part of FoxX-men verse 10005 so part of MCU Multiverse too

Absolutely when it comes to Wolverine's skill set in these films. He's mastered multiple fighting styles and his agility/acrobatics is on par with Captain America. Now look at how Cap was portrayed on film vs. Wolverine. Imagine Wolverine moving with the agility and strength that Cap was in Winter Soldier or Civil War. We've seen glimpses here and there in "Berserker" moments, but nothing as sustained or developed. That's the next stage.

Wesley Burt's concept art is fantastic, some of the stuff he did for Loki is fantastic.

EDIT - Actually just flicking through his Twitter his artwork is fantastic all round.

Finally got to see this after much delays.

Dang. Definition of a "see it with a crowd" because you probably won't get much out of it on a second watch. It's one of those films where if you read more critical reviews, you'd be hard-pressed to disagree with them and honestly, I got frustrated seeing how certain plot points could've been easily been written better (villains' plot, D&W's arcs not being so similar to their last films, more focus on DP's relationships with his family, etc). There's a lot to like but it could have been so much more.

2.5/5 (3/5 with a crowd). For reference, DP1's 4/5. DP2's 3.5/5 (3.75/5 for extended cut).

Its funny now looking back on all the scopes and fake rumors which were wide of the mark.

I have a theory to connect the X-Men movie saga to Deadpool and Logan 2017, as well as The New Mutants. Since all stories have been basically "dumped" into Earth-10005 and one single continuity.

Before exposing my theory, is there any evidence that Deadpool 1 is set in 2016, Deadpool 2 is set in 2018 and D&W is set in 2024? I mean, unbreakable on-screen evidence?
Thanks.

Saw it for the 3rd time and, man, it keeps getting better and better. I can't stress how amazing Daphne is as an actress or impact of Logan as an overall movie. The scene with X23 saying "I did" and enters the room just gets me very emotional. She had very little lines in Logan but what she did, her performance, the story of the movie, the emotional core still transcends after all these years.
“You were always the wrong guy” had me going too. Really hoping we see more of her.

I never see movies more than twice in theater and i am aching to see this a third time. Maybe a fourth. This movie just gets better and better the more i think about it.

Just to fix the error continuity about Wade (origins) and Wade (DP 2016) because of producers who dont care anything

I had a theory : there was 2 earths in Fox movies . 1/ - 7 X-men movies+2 wolverine movies in which Wade is born in 40s
2/ - Deadpool movies+Logan set in another earth in which Wade is born in 70s (earth 10005)

But unfortunately it was confirmed Wolverine from 10005 is the Wolverine of all x-men movies

Thus, Worst Wolverine had the same memories than Fox Wolverine, we can suppose their early lives were the same
