TDK gave us a very psychological 'thinking' villain but no real physical threat that could go head to head with Batman in a fight.

Would Deathstroke be a good villain to introduce in Batman III?

He's a badass highly trained assassin with skills on par with Bruce; with a huge variety of weapons including swords, rifles and ninja weapons.. the fight sequences would be intense. He would pose a physical challenge to Batman.

He's also a character that's never been done in a Batman film yet, so it would be something fresh.

He could be the 'muscle' hired to work for the main intellectual villain of Batman III.

Using this character would be a huge waste. I mean, what, we wait 3/4 years for Batman 3 only to have Deathstroke as the villain? Really!?
Over The Riddler, The Penguin, Catwoman, The Ventilioquist, Black Mask, etc..

Nah, this movie is gonna have enough to cover without adding completely unnecessary characters like Deathstroke.

no cause were already getting a deadpool movie :p

Yeah right.

They messed up Deadpool in Wolverine and then Reynolds jumped ship to WB/DC.

A Deadpool movie isn't happening anytime soon. Fox will likely give Wolverine II, X-men First Class and Magneto a much higher priority.

deadpool is slated for a 2012 release. not that far away. and the other x-men will because they have everything DP doesent. a writer, scripts are being made, and actors are auditiong. DP has nothing (cept reynolds)

Like I said, he's a hired gun who could easily work for a more familiar intellectual villain.

Riddler would be great (as long as it's noticeably different than Joker of course) but he's an intellectual threat to Batman, as opposed to a physical one.

I want an action villain too that Batman can get into an epic battle with.

Deadpool won't be coming out by 2012, especially considering the X-men projects already slated for 2012 are much, much further down the line in development than Deadpool (which is at a standstill right now).

i dont know. right now IMDB is slating for a 2011 release. im standing by the 2012 or 2013 release. which isnt bad, seeing as how spiderman 5 & bats 3 wont be out till 2012 at the earliest.

I do too. But there are many characters more suited to that role than Deathstroke. Character's people would actually want to see.
Killer Croc comes to mind. Plus, Croc fits into Nolans movies much more easily than Deathstroke (just have him be a guy with a really terrible skin condition). Whereas if they adapted Deathstroke, they'd have to change him so much he wouldn't even really be the character anymore...

If Christopher Nolan wanted to make a Batman film with Deathstroke as the main villain he could and it would kick ass. I don't think he would want to though, or that he would even be allowed to if he did. If WB wants to even come close to living up to the massive hype this movie will be getting they will have to go with a more well-known villain. It's not really an issue of whether or not Deathstroke is a good character, it's strictly business.

IMDB isn't legit in the slightest.

They still list dead projects or ones in development hell..

Hell, even "Justice League Mortal" is still listed on imdb for a 2011 release

I agree and if my memory doesn"t fail Nolan said once that villains like Bane or similar kind of guys were not his choices.

How about the adapt Deathstroke to be a surviving League of Shadows ninja?

A vigilante like Batman, but who IS willing to kill.

You know the scene in Begins where Bruce refuses to execute that prisoner? Well when Deathstroke was in that position he went through with it.

You could have him personally trained by Ra's as well. It would create a cool parallel between the two. Deathstroke is what Batman could of become if he didn't refuse to kill the prisoner, and fully embraced the League's ways of dispensing justice.

I wrote a treatment ages ago featuring Riddler as the main villain and Deathstroke as a mysterious figure whose motive is murky.

I think it's about time some spectacular fight scenes were brought to this franchise. Because frankly, the fighting so far has been piss poor IMO.

What would be better than ninja vs ninja, fighting across rain swept Gotham rooftops with thunder and lightning screeching out across the night sky. I can picture it now, it would be epic.

Shouldn't be that Ubu, I mean we didn't see Ubu in BB.

It would be interesting to see them use that villain in BB3 along with a more well known villain like The Riddler or The Penguin.

By the way, who do you think should be cast as Deathstroke???

Most likely Ray Park.

No Tom cruise as deathstroke. We all know he's a very skilled fighter and he does all his own stunts. Didn't he beat up that fool colin farrel?

This doesn't seem like a waste of a very good villain to anybody..?

If there's any character which really doesn't need to be using an awesome character like Deathstroke to be added to his rogues for "filler" its Batman. He already has the most comprehensive list of villains that are relatively well known that you're going to find.

Pick one (or a couple if you can weave them into a story) and leave Deathstroke for another character who has a relatively short-staffed group of bad guys... or for a sequal when all of their decent rogues have been used. Batman has a glut of 'em.
