The Dark Knight Rises Deathstroke in Batman III, would it work?

Lesse...TEEN TITANS villain Deathstroke? Or BATMAN villain Deadshot?

HMM...

As long as he has a personal connection to Bruce Wayne and does, not wear that stupid outfit he always has on.

A Teen Titans film will dwell in development hell for who knows how long...so why the heck would WB's and Nolan want to "save" Deathstroke for a film that will most likely never get made?

I think they should use the idea from the Knightfall story arc when it comes to how Batman is severely beaten by the hired assassin or hitman in his first confrontation. Batman would be mentally and physically worn out from being on the run from the cops and also trying to find out who this new mysterious cultish mob boss is (Black Mask) who is winning the out of control mob war since Joker was apprehended. Like I have said before, this would provide an opportunity for us to see Bruce, Alfred and Dr Leslie Thompkins in scenes at Wayne Manor and perhaps they can all go to the Wayne gravesite.

Alfred would locate Batman thru a homing beacon and Bruce is beaten up badly.....Bruces' injuries are extensive and Alfred calls upon an old friend in Leslie to help with a surgical procedure to help Bruce. During the time of his recovery in the new cave we can see Bruce due heavy detective work and working out mentally and physically for the battle ahead and the potential rematch with the assassin who tried to kill him. While Bruce is recovering in the cave and doing detective work for perhaps a month and getting back into shape. Bruce would also provide information to Gordon on what he has found out about either who this black mask is or who the riddler is? We need to see Batman taken to the limits physically and mentally in this next film and I think Deathstroke, DeadShot, Bane or Lady Shiva would work just fine.

Actually that seems more realistic than just put Knightfall on screen like some fans want, that would be imposible.

Having a straight adaptation onscreen of Knightfall would be to much for one movie....they would need to make it into two movies.

However, implementing aspects of the Knightfall story arc can be done in the next film. The one that can be done very easily and practical would be to have the mysterious hired assassin beat a physically and mentally fatigued Batman the first time they meet.

Since the GCPD will be hunting Batman down in BB3, they could call in Deathstroke (who is an assassin) for help.

I see people talking about Killer Croc. I say instead of having some skin condition. that's just kind of...gross.( i just picture some ashy guy with dry scaly skin. what's that condition were the skin is dark and dry and scaly?_) I don't wanna see Bats flicking dead skin off his shoulder and fists. I say have him be a heavy hitting hitman with a full body tattoo and body mods to look like a reptile. if he's going to be used at all. That said i'm not crazy about the character. about Deathstroke. i think he'd be well used as a hitman hired to get Batman into custody. I liked those comics a few years ago where Batman was in jail. That would be cool on screen. Have harley break him out as ordered by Joker. have riddler, and catwoman as the main baddies and there you go.

If Batman were in jail, it might be challenging to come up with a realistic reason why they don't discover his identity.

I think Deathstroke in the next Batman movie could be awesome. A Teen Titans movie is probably never going to get made, and even if it does get made there's no harm in the antagonist having been introduced to audiences in a previous film. He's someone from the comic world who the audience hasn't seen yet, and I think audiences would respond well to him. His costume would obviously have to be "Nolanized" to work in the movie, but I think that his classic two-tone one-eyed mask would be able to carry over pretty much unchanged..

I would prefer Fedor Emelianenko as KG Beast than Deathstroke.

Thats what I have said before also. Fedor would be perfect as KGBeast.....but an actual actor like maybe Jason Statham would be good for Deathstroke.

Yeah, Is a shame it won"t happen, maybe Lesnar for Bane HAHA.

I don"t like Deathstroke but of course I would choose someone like Jason.

I'd like to see Deathstroke as hired assassin for The Penguin in BB3.

Deathstroke is cooler, and there probably won't be a Teen Titans movie anyway.

You keep saying this...

But Deathstroke isn't strictly Teen Titans. He can be a thorn in the side of pretty much every one in the DCU, villains and heroes alike.

Deathstroke has a lot of potential. And i beleive nolan would make him a beast on screen.

Just had a random idea, Batman could knock out Deathstroke and look through his phone's contact list, sorta like X-2. With names like...

Luthor
Sionis
Vertigo
Thorne
Crane
Zucco
And maybe Wade. :hehe:

i like this idea... of course, batman would actually have to be looking for something. not just aimlessly flipping through deathstrokes iphone apps.

wade? u dont mean wade wilson? that wouldnt happen :(

and you forgot to put Cain. David Cain has been argued to be deathstrokes equal...and Cains daughter is more bamf-ish than both of them :oldrazz:

lol

One of the main reasons I always liked Deathstroke is that he kind of got that 'What if Captain America was a bad guy? thing about him.

It would be a shame for the character to lose than in my book, and odds are, Nolan wouldnt have a character in his Bat-movieverse who's been genetically enchanced by the military baecause of the realism thing.

I say save him for a movie where we can see Slade Wilson in all his bad-ass glory.

Yea see that is the downside to Nolan's movies. You couldn't have proper Deathstroke in there.

That's why I hope when Nolan is done someone else comes in and takes us in a different direction. More stylized, ripped straight from the comics.

As do I, Ace.

What Nolan has given us thus far is great, there's no denying that. TDK wasnt just a great Batman movie, it was a great movie -period.

Every so often though, I find myself hankering for something a bit more out there; as you say 'more stylized, ripped straight from the comics'.

I'm not saying I want to see Bat Mite anytime soon, but you look at Iron Man and TIH, as well as what Marvel are doing with IM2 and planning with Cap and Thor, and you long for something like that with Batman.

Maybe Green Lantern will pave the way for Warners to go a bit for 'comic'.
