what constant unmasking?

uh including those god awful Raimi films, with Capt Stacy being the latest to unmask him and find out his identity, there has been a constant unmasking of him ever since Sony got their grubby little hands on this project.:whatever: that doesnt look to ever change until marvel studios gets some balls and sues them for the rights.Doesnt matter who the director is,with sony having their hands on this project, thats something we're obvious going to keep seeing as long as they are able to keep producing these movies.:cmad: I remember there was once was once upon a time when The Green Goblin was the ONLY one who knew his identity. Those days are clearly over with.:cmad:

Dafuq? Why would Marvel sue them for the rights? that doesn't even make sense. They made a deal ages before, and they can't sue Sony for following the deal. If they sued, Sony would win.

And also, what you want doesn't fit in the movies. I'm sure that if Marvel had the rights, Spidey would still go without his mask at certain points in the movie.

Close thread. Pls&Thx.

Sam Raimi is to blame, not Sony. Maybe Avi Arad for convincing Raimi, but that's what the fans wanted, Venom. Hell, I wanted Venom and I didn't even go on forums yet.

So Marc Webb is to blame for the crap that happened here? The fans wanted Lizard...and look what we got...a bland, generic, sad entry for one of the greatest Spidey villains of all time. Time to bring out the crucifix for Webb?

Yea, Chaseter, some people actually enjoyed the Lizard in this movie...

When the hero's origin is being told you have a villain who doesn't have a complex origin. The lizard has a family and they should at the very least have given him time being whole before changing him. A good villain for this movie would have been some one like Shocker, someone with next to no backstory so you can concentrate on the hero.

if marvel studios owned it seeing how they did such amazing jobs on their other comicbook characters I just dont seem them being idiots like sony having everybody in the world find out his identity.:whatever: First Doc Ock,then Harry Osborn, then Mj,now Gwen thanks to him revealing it to her, then Capt Stacy-he figured that out for himself because he was smart in the comics and had instincts,we saw none of his smarts or instincts in this film, now The Lizard.

Its truely sad there are some people here that could care less about the good old days being gone of The Green Goblin being the ONLY one in the world who knew his identity.that some like that one poster could care less that other villans like doc ock and the lizard finding out.

What if there will never be a DC or EC? I want an Extended Cut revealing what was amiss, and being more cohesive and making a superior movie
3. Your anger confuses me.
I actually agree with the anger of the OP, I wanted those scenes as well

Your statement is entirely based on opinion, not fact.

Yea, because tons of people in the comics don't know that he's Peter Parker.

Seriously man? Marvel could sue, yes. But they would loose.

I'm pretty tired of every villain knowing Peter is Spider-Man, wish for a movie to omit that plot, I love my superheroes with secret identities, and Marvel movies seem to be much like their comics now -with exception to Spidey & DD comics- when it comes to secret ID

I liked the way that this movie played out, With lizard knowing his identity. For villians like electro, vulture, scorpion. I don't want them to know his identity but for Green Goblin, etc. Knowing his identity is an important part.

Goblin Norman and Goblin Harry are essential to know, same goes for the Venom symbiote
The rest.. not really, especially not Lizard with "Property of Peter Parker" on the camera part

That scene wasn't needed. All they had to do was have Lizard sniff the blood on his claws and then head in the direction Peter went, as dense as the general audience usually is, we would have got it.

I'd rather he didn't know, didn't care

You had to have the Lizard at the school and you can't just have him turn up as that is way too much of a coincidence but they could have joined the dots in a far better manner than the camera.

After watching the movie, I see a reason to not support the school fight
4 Spider-Man movies, all villains know his secret identity, that's too much

In Superman movies none of the villains knew Clark is Superman
In Batman films at least some villains don't get the connection

bane in the new trailer for TDKR says "mr. wayne" infering he knows his identity!

but i get what your saying.

Bane in TDKR knows, but I said some villains don't know

Previous series:
Joker, Penguin, Freeze, Ivy & Bane didn't know

This series:
Joker, Two-Face and Scarecrow don't know

It appears most significant deleted scene of the film is the one with the Lizard and Ratha in the sewer laboratory, and that was done because of the outrage of fans from the spots and trailers that Spidey's origin was tempered with. It's sad that such an important scene suffered because of a fear from the producers. We could get Ratha's demise, the Lizard's fist transformation of a man into a reptile and spidey's true origin. And for this particular story it would make muck more sense that Peter had something in him prior the bite, because such a spontanious moment when he gets bitten and gets all the powers becomes really unconvincing.
I just hope for an extended edition!

There's no positive proof that the scene in the sewers with Ratha had anything to do with the rumor of genetic tampering of Peter.

'
Write those E-mails, people. We can do this.

Oh yeah I'm SURE that'll do something.

Sony Exec: "Oh my God! 12 people have sent us emails demanding we release an extended Director's Cut of The Amazing Spider-Man! We have to stop this before it gets out of hand!"
