as far as i remember, morgan freeman said he'd be happy to come work with nolan again on another batman film. i'd have to do some digging to find that quote but i have to teach class shortly.

Infact, the "new blood, freash face" angle could work perfectly. Especially considering how the acid scars his face, and his psyche. Being a good looking "baby face" could be a nice angle to go with.

I mean, in BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES....that was one element to Dent.

I was a fan of vain, manic Dent for a while since I grew up on TAS. But then I read Long Halloween and I thought that was a much deeper interpretation.

But then I read Dark Victory and it was flat, so I got the feeling that maybe old Jephy boy doesn't actually know what he's doing.

Hard to tell.

Basically, I have a good idea of what I want Dent to be in my head, but it's kind of hard to articulate it without writing a full-blown fan script.

If they want to keep Rachel for the second movie I wouldn't mind if the role was recast and I honestly don't think that most people would care...hell what am I saying? I would love if the role was recast but would perfer if they got rid of the character and brought on miss Kyle.

Because that's like admitting you f**ked up, lol. Plus it takes the viewer out of the immersion, imo. Especially with a big franchise such this, seeing someone new in a role they were familiar with beforehand, is just weird.

Rachel isn't that important anyway, so it's not needed for her to return in the first place.

He could have been lying you know. Who knows he might have cast a few TDK roles already without us knowing. No one certainly knew about Ledger beforehand until LR broke the news.
