Seeing the Pokemons is exciting, but I still find Pikachu's voice off putting and I don't like the human character.

If they feature Ash, Misty, Brock, Prof. Oak in a live action film with all the gym battles then that would be way more exciting than whatever this is.

I'd rather not. I really don't like Ash. He's a moron.

Maybe they’ll sneak in an ash cameo somewhere, maybe as one of the elite four or something. I mean he’s so popular. A lot of kids are looking forward to seeing him irl

God how did I miss the new spot. Lickitung is perfect. I'm so glad that the movie will feature mostly Pokemon from Generation 1.


Because they're the best ones and everyone knows it.

I wonder if they'll feature a legendary Pokemon, like to me that would be so obvious that they would feature a powerful Pokemon for the climax.

I'm gonna say it again, but I really wish the first live action film is about Ash becoming a Pokemon trainer then we get an introduction of the Pokemon world. I feel like Ash trying to catch them all and going to gyms/tournaments is the essence of Pokemon. People play the videogames to catch pokemons and go to gym battles. Not find a missing person with a talking Pokemon.

I feel like this film is going to be successful because its Pokemon, but its not really gonna feature the ultimate Pokemon journey that imo should have been told in the 1st film. And what are they gonna do in the sequel/s with Tim/Ryan Pika Reynolds? I felt like if they had featured Ash and the rest of the gang (esp Team Rocket), it wouldhave been better in the long run.

Also its a shame that its the first Pokemon live action film and they just can't call it Pokemon because obviously its not really about Pokemon, but Tim/detective Pikachu.

We’ve seen psyduck and I think we might have seen a poliwag somewhere? But yeah I agree I would love to see more water types.

I have to say, I’m impressed with the Pokémon looks so far. Can’t be easy to animate animated characters and make them look realistic without being creepy or too different from the source material

Man I get this so much. But I have faith that it's going to happen especially since people have responded well to the concept of live action Pokemon through this low-risk, high-reward venture. They will hopefully soon adapt the game with Red as the protagonist. And if they're extra ballsy, they'll do this with an all-Asian cast.
