Okay, decent week. As for the maybe's, I'm not sure on Skaar yet. I picked up the Silver Surfer arc for SS and really enjoyed it, but then they go and throw him on Earth, which takes away the feeling that I liked. I skimmed the Planet Skaar Prologue and it did nothing for me so I didn't buy it. Chances are I'll skip this one too, but I want to skim it first and see if anything jumps out at me. As for Batman & Robin I'm debating on starting Batman and it's a good jump on point. I read Final Crisis and Battle for the Cowl so I'm up to date, I'm just not sure if I want to yet. I'll probably decide the moment I walk to the comics counter. Chances are, I'll buy it.
Dark Avengers and War of Kings has me excited as always, though I still hate the $4 price tag on Dark. So far it's the only ongoing book I that's worth it for me. I really like Deadato's art and Bendis isn't horrible, so it's decent. Much better than New, which I may drop following this Sorceror Supreme arc, haven't decided. It's decent for $3, but not for $4. But War of Kings has been phenominal and I can't wait for the next issue, especially since the Guardians of the Galaxy have officially entered the fray. Now I'm just waiting for the Novas to officially jump in.
New Mutants isn't as interesting to me as to a lot of old school fans but it's decent. I'm more interested in Legion, and Warlock joining up later, than the actual team. I do like Cannonball and Sunspot but the first issue just didn't do much for me. As a huge X-Fan I'm hoping it grows on me because I'm not buying blindly anymore and I will drop the book if it doesn't hook me soon, probably by the end of the 2nd storyline. Cap. Britain & MI:13 Annual could be decent but I'm not a huge Megan fan and I didn't much care for the arc she was focused on. This just finishing that arc's dangling plotthread, which is good and I'll get it for that reason, but this is probably the issue I'm looking forward to the least.
And lastly, Mighty Avengers. I was against this for the first 3 issues and planned on dropping it after that. It just did nothing for me. Then the next issue caught my eye on a slow week so I gave it a shot and ended up liking it better than the first 3 combined, so I'm taking it issue by issue. I hope this one's more like the 4th issue in on Slott's run. We'll see.
