After reading that Orci Q&A, I am REALLY excited to see what they are going to do with the DVD/HD-DVD/Blu-Ray versions of this movie. Can you imagine if they put another couple million bucks into extended content and additional robot scenes.

What else is there to flesh out? The back story as told by Optamis Prime gives you all the information you need to know about each others motives for wanting the Allspark.

Their individual personas and characterizations. Half of the transformers in this flick didn't come across as sentient beings whatsoever. We want to feel like these robots are alive.

Technically Bonecrusher is a constructicon woulda been nice if they didn't kill him though. As for the back story, they gave the transformers back story that didn't matter. I just saw it as giant robots fighting, nothing unique about them.
