Did this movie really cost 100 million bucks?

The special effects were terrible though. How much does it cost to make corny lasers and slow motion shots? You can see these kinds of special effects on Power Rangers.

I watched Power Rangers since it first came on tv. If they had that budget it would be awesome. Sadly they don't. There lasers aren't that good.

Maybe they paid $100 million in union fees that would explain it.

exactly, but it still needs to make at least $100 mil to even think about a sequel. it would need to make at least $150 mil to GUARANTEE a sequel.

as if they spent 60mil on marketing.... pleaase

if it is indeed 40mil... then they need to make back about 75mil...

I'm not sure whether to believe this or not. On one hand the film didn't look like it cost 100 million, but deathshead2 is right that this doesn't look like it had a budget lower then Street Fighter.
Sometimes you can't really tell where the budget went. Look at Town & Country

I wouldn't be surprised if this cost less than Street Fighter

I'm surprised they'd even need $100 million to shoot this movie. To be honest, I think most movies now adays ask for a hell of a lot more than what they truly need to make the movie.

wasnt street fighter money spend on locations?
