The Dark Knight Didn't we have casting by this time with Begins?

Am I wrong, or did we have the full cast in place by this time period related to the release of Begins?

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that cameras begin rolling january-march and we only have the key members cast?

esp. with Dent's actor missing.

ps- i've switched from schreiber to phoenix for my pick for Dent. I think Joaquin has the necessary gravity to pull it off perfectly. schreiber looks more the part but has only wowed me in 'sum of all fears.'

are you sure we only had bale? when did the villians (cillian, liam) show up as confirmed? how far before production?

It might be possible that Harvey Dent will have a very small role in the film. I mean it's october and there's no mentioned of casting of the character....

Sometimes an important part is cast as close as a few weeks before shooting. If I´m not mistaken, Willem Dafoe was cast as GG only a couple weeks before shooting SM1.

We're on track then. Ledger said he was interested and Nolan grabbed him while he could, before the script was available. Suprising that WB confirmed it so early but you can't really contain that. When did they start shooting last time? March this time isnt it?

Its different with BB because they were beginning so everything was from scratch unlike TDK they're just dealing with their returning family with a few major additions.

How do you know more people haven't been cast for the smaller roles?

the only difference is that we haven't been told anything yet, i think things may very well be a lot further on than people realise, myself included.

I wouldn't worry about the speed things are moving along, i think nolan is just keeping everything much more under wraps the second time round because of the hype surrounding the film.
