I can't help but feel that they could've gotten a better shot from SOMEWHERE in that screen test. This shot gives off some kind of buddy cop...hokey...vibe, as presumptive of a non-official screen grab as that may seem.

not enough people talk that they cast an unknown actor. you know what this means? that he was cast because they liked his acting with Bruce and chemistry. this is a big plus. they didnt pick an known actor for promotion. right now it looks good.

Jai Courtney isn't fat. If you saw his minor role in Packing the Rafters or Spartacus, he's got a good bone structure and overall figure. It's inevitable he'll hit the weights again to prepare for his co-starring role with Willis, but he is NOT tubby like Jonah Hill or Seth Rogen.

Meh. I love John McClane, but I'm skeptical about John in a foreign country. It doesn't feel like Die Hard anymore, the way Live free or Die Hard doesn't feel like one although it was entertaining.

Anyway, do you have any more ideas for a good Die Hard movie? If you were tasked to handle the franchise, what would you guys do? I'd do a Die Hard in a hospital (McClane's got lung cancer, having chemo, then a nutjob and his gang terrorizes the hospital cause his daugther or gang member died in that hospital or something, a dying McClane fights off the gang) or maybe Die Hard in an island or cruise ship (McClane on a family reunion, reconciling with Holly).

I'd prefer it not to be his son. I see McClane as retired and teaming up with a young cop in one of these type of situations.
