Die Hard 5

Trailer looks awful.

The whole thing feels like a straight to video Seagal film.

My thoughts exactly.

The first movie was good. Second one was mixed. One really has to wonder how many times this guy just stumbles into some crazy terrorist scheme. But what the hell, people do get struck by lightning twice.

Third one I actually liked. It was over-the-top, but at least they worked McClane in there kind of believably. As opposed to stumbling in on another random terrorist plot.

The fourth movie should have never been made.

Now we are officially in Seagal territory.

Why shouldn't have part 4 been made?Cause you personally hated it?

Can you impersonally dislike something?

Though I did think it was laughably bad. And unnecessary. But so were the others. However they at least were decent enough movies.

Went from Alan Rickman to Timothy Olyphant threatening John McClane with deleting his 401k.

I enjoy the 4th one from time to time. Its light years better that piece of **** number 2.

Poster's bad. Can't wait to see how STV the trailer will look in 7 hours.

god just stop it already with these films, its like the last great cow in barn that gave some great milk at one point but now the teets are falling off.

I dont mind bruce in action roles but man the first was so good as a stand alone film that with the exception of vengance the rest have been rather craptacular. and yes like above the fourth movies plot was so stupid with the whole cyber attack and fire sale bit.

Why stop when there are still fans who watches&enjoyes all of them?,IF your so tired of the franchise then stop watching But no need to wish for them to end just cause you don't agree it should keep going!

Simply ignore the new films&move on!

I dont know anyone in my area who enjoyed or liked the 4th enough to even buy it. The whole thing is its the same with remakes where they just keep going back to the same well over and over and no offense to bruce but he isnt exactly a spring chicken anymore and the same goes for arnold. Given the release date of this one it will be a bomb and I expect it to perform like this means war did this past feb 14th.

Trailer was ok, really not liking the director for this but we'll see how it turns out.

Not even close. Seagal was never this good.

Above The Law, Hard to Kill, Marked for Death, Out for Justice & Under Siege were miles better than Live Free or Die Hard.

Seagal was great up until Under Siege. Everything after was garbage.

Executive Decision was great but that's a Kurt Russell/David Suchet film

Watched Die Hard with a Vengeance yesterday.

Such a great film.

There should be a law stating only John McTiernan can direct Die Hard movies.

I think the movie looks ridiculous but it's got Jai Courtney from Spartacus so I want to see it.

I think the reason the Die Hard movies worked so well and John McClane was so appealing and charming a character was that even though he was a cop he was this average joe that doesn't know how to deal with all this craziness and he just gets by barely by the skin of his teeth. McClane would get in fights but we'd see how it hurt him and messed up. He walks barefoot over broken glass and things like that.

Willis is a guy in good shape but he's not like some jacked up uber-dude and super yoked like Ahnold and Sly. Willis looked more like us as John McClane so we liked that too. He had an unconventional action hero look for the time. But now McClane is like the same type of invincible action hero with super powers.

So, uh, besides the obvious fact that I found the trailer all kinds of trash... this is even further removed from the DH feeling than 4. I'm sure fans of the latter will enjoy the hell out of it, though. Looks like a true continuation of that tone and type of action.

Maybe it's my neverending supply of complete optimism but I have a feeling this could be pretty darn good.

This will probably be PG-13. But the trailer is better than Die Hard 4.0. And adding his son into the movie who is like CIA, and taking place in Russia sounds nice.

But yes, the action is so PG-13/Summer blockbuster ish. At least Die Hard 3( one of my fav movies of all-time) was R and had McClane take a brutal beating. Whatever, this is my V-Day movie...all lone in tha theater.

It's coming out in February. Its directed by John Moore.

That's all you really need to know. Fox banished it to February.

It's getting like to be that action cartoon Spiral Zone. There was a joke in that show about someone going to see Rambo part 12 and the ticket costs $30.

since it's not a summer movie, make it R rated

Rambo came out in January and was one of the most violent action flicks in recent years

That's my thought on it.
I figured with a February release, it WOULD be R-Rated. Guess we'll see soon enough, it'll be out pretty soon (already December).

Wow, I completely lost track of this film. I didn't realize it was so close to being released.

The trailers actually looked pretty cool to me. It's a Die Hard movie, I'll be there opening night.
