Die Hard 5

Am I the only one who doesn't want to see this? And why is Fox releasing it on Valentine's Day of all things? I can't see this doing Safe House numbers...

You can't see Die Hard, one of the most beloved action movie franchises of all time, doing as well as Safe House, a film that barely made half the money (world wide) of the previous Die Hard film...?

I've watched all the DH films and I like them all, more or less. So of course I'll watch this one. Also after watching JR, I think that Courtney will be a good MC Clane Jr.

looks better than the last die hard movie, which was generally craptacular.

I'm just glad that it looks like they avoided the cliche of the father and an being polar opposites. It looks like they have a good rapport and will have chemistry.

Actually, if Lucy's portrayal is any indication, the kids are basically generation Xerox, which might work really well for Sr. and Jr.; we'll get to see how bad two McClanes can rub each other the wrong way. An alpha-dog fight between these two should be awesome. Jai really was pretty good in Jack Reacher, and it looks like the only reason these two aren't already punching each other in the trailers is because they've got terrorists to kill.

Besides, since the fourth movie, I figure John qualifies as a one man plague on all terrorist groups. Heck, in the third film Simon Gruber's got the biggets advantages of all the bad guys-mobility, professional and loyal minions who number in the size of a small army, Gruber level of intelligence, and a John McClane arguably at his lowest and most debilitated in the entire franchise-and McClane shows almost know surprise or shock at Gruber's abilities. He's come along way from panicking after the initial hostage situation.

I'm really hoping the bad guys are more in the physical challenge manner of Die Harder-the last film's bad-guys were internet trolls who employed mercenaries. While I enjoyed how immensley outclassed they were by McClane, I felt it both made sense and was humorous. Hopefully these guys are big enough and bad enough that they deserve to be feed to the meat mesher that is two McClanes.

This was the best trailer so far, the father/son dynamic actually looks fun but the action doesn't grab me.

I wonder if that building that features prominently in the trailers will takes us back a little bit to the atmosphere of the first one.

I hate the desaturated / blueish color of the film. The action doesn't stand out to me. But the father / son dynamic looks interesting. As a fan of the franchise I'll probably give it a shot anyways.

As do I, but it seems to be common with films set in Russia.

I want to know if that girl they cast (the hot one) gets to kick a lot of ass.. like put a huge beat down on both McClanes at once

I love the look of the movie, but I basically have a fetish for that type of DOP look. Universal Solider Regeneration has it as well. Horror movies usually have a nice DOP look to them. Saw 1-3 has nice in a good way Dreadful DOP.

People only complaining cause the blu ish tint in scenes suits a horror movie better. Or a thriller.

I can't stop watching this trailer either.

Probably be PG-13, But a harder PG-13. America really needs a PG-15 rating. Seriously...Lock Out by Luc Besson came off a R to me, but was PG-13. Not a hard R, but like a weak ish R movie.

I'd like to see a Holly cameo in this. Saving her was the whole point of the first two films. In the third, they turned her into a screaming crazy wife on a phone. That kind of sucked.

Women can't handle John...I dunno.

THey need to make a 6th and have everyone back. Holly, Al, Mary, Jack.

Mary is in this one in a small role it looks like.

Also new trailer looked ok but geez all the "so this has happened to you before" gags have gotten tiresome.

Aslong as Bruce Willis is still ticking ill be watching any Die Hard Movie that features John McClane.

This trailer was better than the last one I saw. I actually kind of want to see it now.

I hope so. It really seems strange to me , but I want them to pull it off.

Yeah, that always bugged me too. I always wondered why they did that. I thought Die Hard 3 would have been more fun if John and Holly were running around NYC trying to save everyone, because really, Samuel L. Jackson was a pretty useless sidekick. He did nothing but b**ch the whole time.

John and Holly? Would have been a nice change since all Holly did was be useless in the second film, but I'll take Bruce and Jackson any day. They were hilarious together.

Not bashing the movie, but for all of the explosions in the trailer, nothing can beat the biggest special effect of them all: Alan Rickman.

Seriously, the villain here looks so generic. We haven't had anyone special or memorable since maybe Simon from the third film.

Looks like fun. Willis seems to be giving a damn & having some fun, comes off as very McClane-ish just in those few scenes in the trailer. Liked the interactions between him and the son.

Maybe for the last on they'll get the whole family together and set it a Christmas again.

Well... so far we've only had one film since the third film...
