Die Hard 6

Part 6 should be entitled Old habits Die Hard. the story is about John in a hospital getting chemotherapy for lung cancer, with wise guys trying to assassinate a mob boss admitted in the same hospital.

Part 1 had John with no shoes and with a jet lag, part 3 had John with a hangover, the last part should be John feeling very weak because of chemo. Could also be a nice way to reunite him with holly.

When Lucy McClane (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and her friend Kim Mills (Maggie Grace) are taken by human traffickers on their trip to Paris. John McClane (Bruce Willis) must team up with Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) in order to save his daughter. To complicate matters further, not only is the human trafficker the brother of Kim's original kidnapper but he's married to Natasha Gruber daughter of Hans Gruber. Will John and Bryan be able to save their daughters? Find out in The Taken Die Hard. Coming soon to a theatre near you.

Indeed. I refuse to accept a Die Hard movie as a "final" Die Hard movie until Holly McClane appears. I actually think it could be nice to have just one scene with the whole McClane family together, but that might be pushing it.

I kinda like the idea of John going for Christmas dinner with Holly and Lucy at the end, kind of them on the sidelines throughout whatever mess McClane is in, and at the end when he comes out all battered they are waiting. The final scene his him walking off with his ex-wife and daughter as the camera pulls upwards in classic Die Hard end scene style as the cops and ambulances swarm around.

I don't think Jack can be used simply because he's a CIA agent and the idea of him standing around on the sidelines while his Dad is in jeopardy just doesn't fit.

Jack could have been overseas on a mission or something for the duration of the film and still show up for Christmas, though. I think it would seem weird to wrap up the series with everyone all together except for him. Either get them all together or don't, imo.

You joke, but it would not surprise me at all if they brought in a Gruber offspring before the end of this series, lol.

David Thewlis was orginally offered the role of Simon Gruber in Die Hard: With a Vengeance but turned it down. David Thewlis does look like he could of been Alan Rickman's younger brother.

Die Hard 6 should definitely be the last one. Bruce will be 60 by the time it probably comes out.

Remus Lupin could've been Severus Snape's younger brother?!

How about he is retired, but works as a security guard working the graveyard shift in a museum. Then this group of people break in trying to steal a valuable artifact.

And at night everything in the museum comes to life...so McClane kills them.

Even though A Good Day to Die Hard has turned out being a HUGE misfire, I'm still actually up for a 6th movie ... If they get good writers, good actors, and a good director.

Die Hard has been one of my favorite movie franchises. This new movie is the ONLY one I haven't enjoyed (and yes, I even enjoy Die Harder and Live Free or Die Hard; get over it). I want this series to end on a high note.

This is what I want for the next Die Hard film:

1. A better director. People have been throwing Shane Black's name around, and I wouldn't be opposed to that at all. At the very least, we all know that the dialogue would be the opposite of what we all just saw in the fifth movie.

2. A better villain. Pick a good actor to do it, too. Christoph Waltz was mentioned in the OP. He would be awesome. Javier Bardem proved himself to be a show-stealer as the villain in Skyfall ... I could see him going up against McClane, too!

3. Make McClane vulnerable again. In the first Die Hard movie, walking on that glass slowed him down considerably, which was a great way for the audience to become attached to the character and the stakes that were at hand. Even in Die Hard 4, McClane slowed down and got roughed up by the end. In Die Hard 5, McClane was almost entirely impervious to everything, even radiation poisoning. LAME.

4. I want to see Holly again. If the 6th movie is going to be the last, then at least have these two reunite. They don't have to completely get back together, but c'mon. Let us see Holly (only if they get the same actress, though)!

5. Don't let Bruce Willis pick one of his buddies to write the screenplay. Apparently, Skip Woods is a good friend of Willis'. Welp, it didn't work out so well, now did it? I love Bruce Willis, but it usually doesn't work out if the actors get to hand-pick everything involving the film.

The thing is Bonnie Bedelia is in her 60's now, so I doubt Fox will want to pair Willis up with her.

I'd be game for one last Die Hard but only if it's up to par with the original and With A Vengeance. Maybe set it in New York again and bring back Samuel L. Jackson to cameo as Zeus. Hell, while we're at it, a cameo from Al Powell would be awesome too. And if it's really ballsy, have McClane die at the end.

Does anyone remember the Die Hard 4 rumor where i was going to take place on a cruise that McLane and his family were on. They are attacked by pirates and McClane teams up with 3 other cops to take them out.

6. Would it be too much to at least consult with ANYONE from the creative team involved in the first three pictures?
Or better yet have them consult us expert SHH hypers who know more about the franchise backwords and forwards.

That could certainly work, in truth I wasn't a huge fan of the Jack character in the new film so I wasn't overly bothered if made that last scene ore not lol.

Well he's always been a part of the family so they can't undo it now, lol.

Jai Courtney was pretty good in Jack Reacher. I'm sure if he does a cameo under a decent director it wouldn't be too bad.

I want to see Holly again. If they can bring back Karen Allen as Marion Ravenwood in Indiana Jones I don't see why they can't bring back Bonnie Bedelia.

I wouldn't mind seeing Micheal Sheen as the villain in Die Hard 6.

The Hard Death of John McClane. That is all. Kill the sonofa off in a blaze of glory. And I'm not joking.

It should start off with Johns retirement party that way they can bring back old characters like Al Powell and Zeus Carver mixing with Lucy and John Jnr (lol) and maybe Holly. Then whatever happens in the movie happens after the party.

Madison Square Garden, the Chrysler building or The Empire State building could be good New York set single locations for DH6.

Lol, I like your idea of him coming in from overseas right at the end, maybe making a joke about hos John has went and had all the fun without him.

Oh yeah he was very good Reacher, I'm just not a fan of a second action hero alongside McClane regardless of how well it's written, a cameo would be fine though..

would be cool to have the sixth, and potentially final, Die Hard be set in LA again. have Holly and Al come back in some capacity.

The actress who played Holly got screwed since Die Harder over didn't she?
