Don't know if this has a thread and if it does just discontinue....but I want to get your takes on who should direct the next Bond film and which singer/songwriter should do the title theme song?

Doug Liman would be a solid fit as Director and Michael Buble would be absolutley perfect to do the theme song for the Bond film.

It seems like he was born to do the Bond theme.

John McTiernan for director.

Bring back Q, humour, a charismatic actor, scrap the gritty realism and shaky cam, bring back excitement.

i agree with michael buble...... but not the director

John Mctiernan would be perfect

I think Q definitely needs to be re introduced in the next film!

McTiernan huh? That would be interesting.

Craig is going to do at least one more Bond film. He is solid.

They just to bring Q back, bring back more mystery, intrigue, and an old school yet noirish modern look and feel to the film.

The action needs to be something, instead of just having action just to have it ya know?

they need to stray away from Quantum of Solace. Even my friends who liked it said that it would be a better idea if they just let that one be, and move on Casino Royale style.

With that said, yes, Q needs to come back and a GOOD VILLAIN for God's sakes. Le Cheffe was good while Dom Green (as much as I like the actor) is too generic.

My pick for a Bond director would be Danny Boyle but I don't think it's going to happen. I think the producers are the micro managing/trendy types and it might drive him crazy.

I think Alfonso Cuaron or Danny Boyle should direct, and Muse would be excellent for the Bond theme.

Exactly...get back to more Casino Royale style and not QOS style for sure.

I want the next film to be more noirish though with some more mystery, espionage and intensity with of course more humor and the re introduction of Q.

Yes MUSE would be excellent for the theme. Ive always thought the song Uno by them sounded like a Bond song. My dream director would be Nolan but id like Boyle to do it also....

Director - Kevin Smith

Theme - Swine Flu/Imigration theme.

I don't know, they all seem the same to me. Entertaining though.

Theme song. I think you may have missed that...

Potential directors:

Paul Greengrass
Oliver Hirschbiegel
David Yates
Matthew Vaughan
Fernado Meirelles
Sam Mendes
Michael Caton-Jones

As for song:

Tears for Fears
Radiohead
David Bowie
Karen O (lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
Kings of Leon

Cuaron and Radiohead would insure me watching it at least twice.

Christopher Nolan is tailor made for Bond IMHO. It's the kind of political thriller he can bring his themes front and center to.

Others:

Ridley Scott
Bryan Singer
Danny Boyle
David Fincher
John McTiernan
Guy Ritchie
JJ Abrams
Pierre Morrel
Louis Letterier

And he's a huge Bond fan, so win win.

Actually if he can make a villain as interesting as the Joker with a scheme as grandoise as the moisture machine, he would make a Bond as good as Casino Royale.

I'd imagine Nolan doing atleast one bond flick after his run with Batman

I wouldn't mind having Martin Campbell back. He made two of my favourite Bond-movies, Goldeneye and Casino Royale. So, there's a guy you really know can do good Bond-movies. There might be bigger names than Campbell out there, but you really can't be sure they can do good Bond-movies.
