so with the disappointing reviews coming out RT at just 71% how is ever one felling about this movie? I am supprised and now wored about the movie sucking when i thought it was going to be great.

No need to create a whole new thread for this. You could've just asked about our opinion in the General Discussion. :)

Ignore the reviews. See the movie and make your own judgement.

I think rotten tomatoes is **** anyway every negative review makes the score go down a lot lower than what a positive would do with the score going up. One positive review can make the score go up by about 2% but a negative one can make it go down by about 10%

Listen make your own opinion about the film when its time drop what everyone else saying and go see it when it comes out, these are people's opinions and not yours

There are loads of reviews praising the film that aren't even on RT why not look at those reviews instead

Reviews usually give you a good idea of what to expect of the movie, but unless it drops to below the 50s% (very unlikelly), it's better for you to watch and evaluate it with your oun eyes, but weather you agree with critics or not, don't forget that what they have is an opinion, which should be respected.

I don't give a damn about RT scores (seriously, **** RT), I'm gonna wait until I've seen if for myself. And did we really need an entire thread about this?

Superhero movies are normaly hard to please critics anyway

I disagree, Superhero movies are just like any blockbuster film, because the majority is just out there to entertain, they mostl give decent reviews, however, when one is above average, they give the right feedback. For that you just have to look at the scores Spider-Man 1+2, The Dark Knight, The Avengers and Cap 2 got.

Explain Spider-Man 1, 2, Batman Begins, TDK, TDKR, Superman I, II, Iron Man, The Avengers, etc.

It's not about being hard to please, it's about superhero movies increasing the standards. As such, mediocrity won't be accepted if previous movies could do it much better.

Yeah but some of the Captain America:The Winter Solider reviews were only 3 stars when I think that was brilliant and should be a 5/5 that's what I mean when I say it's hard to please some critics when it comes to superhero movies

Don't think about it too much. Now that I've seen it I hardly care because I know I love it. Even if it ended as rotten and 20% s or something I'll still be buying the DVD and watching it multiple times afterwards.

Or maybe you are just easy to please because you're a fan of superheroes to begin with?

No because there's loads of superhero movies I thought was eh. I wasn't too crazy on Thor 2 not saying I hated it but to me it was watchable

Fair enough. But in some cases people will just like whatever is thrown at them because it features their favourite characters.

see it yourself and then judge, i was one of the negative reviews on here mainly because overall while some elements of the film i enjoyed a lot i really didnt. but the best way is to see it for yourself and then see if you agree

Some people are not as easy to please, and honestly, 5 starts for Cap 2? I give that score to the likes of The Godfather or Amadeus. Giving Cap 2 a 3 sounds perfectly reasonable to be honest.

Hell, the reviews outside the USA can be much worse, in my country there are critics that even gave 2 Stars to Lord of the Rings, and proceed to do the same to the likes of The Dark Knight. Even those that give these films good reviews still don't share the same opinion as the ones in America, Loki for example is pointed as a strong point, while in here, most agreed that he was the weakest part in the film.

Like i said before i am going to see the movie and judge for my self i am just wored. There are pletty of movies i have liked that havnt gotten great reviews like i roobot i love yet only a 58%. Even spider man 3 63% i enjoyd put thought it would be a lot better but i dont understand how any one can say it is a bad movie.

I kinda feel disappointed in life now :/ Not even MrTardisReview's review of TASM2 makes me shocked... I think I'm suffering from Spiderman burnout after the Superior Spiderman, plus seeing a lot disappointing comic book movies..... Oh, and the comic books and video games and T.V. shows and so on. I'll still watch The Amazing Spiderman 2, but I'll probably have the lowest expectations I ever had for a Spiderman movie.

I love spider man and batman but i am not big into othe superheros so spider man really means a lot to me. Right now on RT we have 71% on 30 fresh and 12 rotten reviews but the thing is to is that i would say like 33% of the fresh ones are even more mixed then really good. So that means out of the 30 fresh ones like 10 are pretty mixed that means that out of the 42 only like 20 are saying the movie is good or really good the rest are more like it sucks or it is ok. So really only like half are saying it is better then just ok.

So are you blaming RT or math?

Seems a bit unfair for your overall consensus to be "It's bad in comparison to Avengers."
