Hakwings book describes how the big bang was caused

I personally don't subscribe to science. It can only get you so far in life. After college, what good will theories from a man who had a bad day do for you?
I did not come from monkeys. I don't throw my turds at others, or in the case of the male bonobo monkeys, praticing fencing with my penis.![]()

Religion has made people stupid.
It's funny how it's considered stupid to believe in religious faith about a omnicient being because it's quoted by the fallable 'man'. And yet much more logical to put your faith in the all infallable science, also quoted by the all infallable 'man'.But thats not enough proof for anybody who believes in god. They need to see it set in stone and preached by a guy who looks like a hippy. Religion has made people stupid.
Oh come now Raybia, you know that the religious nuts are the ONLY ones ruining this world.Raybia said:Religion isn't totally to blame for that. Plenty of stupid athesist and agnostics and just plain amoral people in the world too.

Science, also WELL after the time period of your example, thought said world WAS FLAT!Caliber said:Science is less infallable than religion. Religion is a glorified fairy tales mixed with some or partial history. To actually be logical, one would have to see that anything that tells that a guy got two of each animal and built a huge boat, is exaggerating a bit too much.

And please try to remember, Scientific FACT is only FACT as long as it is can't be dis-proven. That's just as big as any DISCLAIMER religion has.
Actually if you read the whole text, he built the Ark with his whole family for several years, while God sent the animals to him.Science is less infallable than religion. t:*tags hand*Science has no facts. Only observable results at this moment with the understanding we have. They have for 50 years been working on the big bang "Theory" but only now are wondering if the speed of light is actually constant.
Whoops. e might not = MC2 ....
As I stated ... a theory can change. Can a fact?Science it was flat until someone went across the sea and proved a new sciencific fact that it was round. It was religion who said science was wrong until it proved so much. People experiment on old facts and form new facts.

So how does that make it LESS fallable? Just sounds like it has to keep changing it's story to me.
... where I'm from we call that a tell-tell sign of a liar!

Is it?It corrects the previous facts not changes the story. And gravity is fact.
Ancient civilizations knew the cirumference of the earth exactly long before we did ... and we had to go into space to figure it out.
Is it possible that our "science" is not so accurate? or as flawless as we are led to believe?
Cue the lads who want to debate why the monkey has no kneecap but a whale has odd legbits left over ...![]()
Again, how is that LESS fallable? It corrects the previous facts not changes the story. And gravity is fact.
Thank You for undoing your initial statement about Science being LESS fallable.Spainards figure out the world was round. Galieo knew the world revolved around the sun. Science can be flawed but its a process of constantly seeing how things work. Anicent civilizations were really smart. Religion is nonsecense set in stone that can't be question. Science can improve itself.
Again, how is that LESS fallable?
Facts shouldn't need changing.
Gravity is only a THEORY until 75 years from now when they discover it is actually the magnetic fields in conjunction with our spinning core that keeps us from flying off this rock. And that gravity is simple a by-product of the two that ONLY holds our atmosphere in place.
