I think evolution is real...I just dont know if I beleive in certain species scientist have said evolved to another (for example dolphins to cows, ect)

I dont think christianity should totally rule out evolution. After all the Bible does say God works in mysterious ways.
Not only does it says this but when God said the Earth was created in 7 days, this doesn't mean that it had to be what we concider 7 days...who said God has to work on our time-schedule?! He even said that 3 days is like 3000 years to him and 3000 years is like 3 days(somewhere).

If you mean did God say that we came from apes ... uhm ... no.

No thats not really what Im trying to say...what Im trying to say is that we don't know what God might have meant when he said he created the world (as we know it) in seven days. What a day may be to God isn't what a day may be to a human...Just cause God said he created life and more in seven days doesn't mean it happened on our time system.

What has evolution proved?

Medical science could help compile a laundry list for you for starters...it also proved DNA and genetics...something we had very little notion of before hand. Has helped us revolutionized medical treatments and in predicting birth defects.... Science my friend. That is not evolution. A theory of how we came to be is not the same as discovering how we are put together.

No, if you have a 1000 piece puzzle picture and you are missing 100 and it looks like a cat...it's highly unlikely the final picture will be a dog. True. Perhaps the analogy was not the best. Science doesn't claim to know what the missing pieces are...that is why they still study it. Unlike many Christians who have holes in their theories of God, Science adapts theories to fit new and challenging pieces of evidence. Evolution today is not Darwin's version of Evolution just an fyi.

No. I agree that many Christians have holes. So do many faith groups. I can speak to many people whom I know that have the same information and theories about God however. That is why I said I have a relationship with God. It is a personal belief. The challenging parts for Science and Faith are distinct and critical. What I find interesting is that while Evolutionists have moved away from Darwin, they have used much of his original findings as 'facts' for their discussions. I also find it interesting that those who believe unflinchingly in Evolution sound exactly like fundamentalist christians. Convinced that they are correct. Science has to adapt as Science does not have all the answers.

There has never been an instance is recent study like the one you just described. Every species is transition and comparitive anatomy would never jump to such an unorthodox conclusion without proof. Quit imposing religious thought on science.

Really? You would have me believe that an ape became a human. Yet one bone is missing that is key to both our 'adaptation' and 'dominion' over the rest of the world. Reach down and rub your kneecap. Stand up and watch it lock into place. I am not imposing religious thought on Science but rather asking you to explain your faith in great leaps of development that adaptation cannot show to be found in any creature alive today. Creatures will lose limbs or have limbs left over, but there is yet to be found a link between the ape and man with that bone. How did it get there? Without it you don't have a leg to stand on ...

It doesn't...but then Science isn't trying to explain metaphysics. Really? They why do scientists take it so personally when a rational discussion about the creation of the planet may include intelligent design? Because a rational, scientific mind may have to face the idea that we, man, are not in control and if fact their is a higher power in charge.

There are those who believe the bible's description of creation is literal, in that all creatures were created by God in the first "two" days. Man was created as a unique creature from the dirt and made to be a reflection of him.

If that is the case, it would contradict the idea of an ape being made and over any amount of time becoming man.

My point was not arguing the time frame, but rather the reference with regards to how man came to be.

Truly only he knows but it does make for a lot of interesting posts on the hype ...

Do you have any understanding of how rare fossils are? We are lucky to have as many as wel do. Any real scientist accepts that the rarity of fossils means that many extinct animals will always remain unknown.

But even if we did find another transitional fossil, people like you would just jump up and down and delcare that now there are two missing gaps where before there was just one.

I find it funny that people so blindly believe in religion and can so easily just accept something they have never, ever and no one else in the history of the Earth has never ever seen or proven to be real.

Now I believe in their own right to have their own faith and believe whatever they wish, that is not what I find funny, I find it funny that for all of their believe and values based on any given Diety, they have such a closed mind to anything else, that can actually be proven and supported with facts.

What does it hurt or how does it endanger your faith in any way what so ever? Even if all of the missing links were found and scientist were able to prove 100% beyond any doubt that human kind evolved from apes or some other ape life form, would it really make everyone around the world (roughly 90% of Earth's population) stop believing in their Gods?

No, it wouldn't.

But remember Earth was once the center of the Universe, the Sun has been worshiped as a God and the Earth was once flat.

How did these things and ways of life change? There were people that had an open mind and were willing to challenge what they were told to believe in and accept as the word of....who? MEN

It's not so illogical, when you think about it. What are we made of, anyways? Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Phosphates, and trace amounts of other elements...all found in the Earth.

Actually, I believe (scratch that...I pretty much know) that most existing forms of matter are the products of the nuclear fusion that occurs in the centers of stars...

In essence, "We are Stardust."

EDIT: Besides, anybody who takes that sort of thing from the Bible literally needs to re-evaluate their perception of the Bible entirely. It's meant mostly to be metaphorical.
