Yeah, probably. He should have dropped out a year or so ago and allowed other Democrats to run for President if they wanted.

But hindsight is always 20/20. :(
 
This year is going to be a taste of the backlash FDJT is going to get— he will not get a honeymoon period. 2025 is going to be a repeat of 2017 when Ds won the governor’s race in Virginia.

The big indicator of how the 2026 midterms will go will start on January 7th with Virginia’s special elections to replace the two state legislature members who are now in Congress. They are reportedly safe blue but the turnout margins will show how much voter enthusiasm is— then the proper governor and state legislature races in November.

And the April 1st WI Supreme Court election where Susan Crawford and Brad Schimel (an unpopular Scott Walker holdover) are fighting to replace a retiring progressive judge. If Crawford beats Schimel and by a margin close to 2020 (Karofsky) and 2023 (Protosaewicz)— that’s a bad sign for Rs.
