Discussion: Illegal Immigration, Immigration Reform, and Other Citizenship Issues II

The fact the 185,000 people follow this loser is disconcerting.

Also, the comments are beautiful.

So he asked them if they are legal somali immigrants or did they come up and simply told him that?
And i highly doubt that anybody outside of a walking cretine would like those ugly trump hats.

Wohl comes off like the guy who takes picture of himself sleeping and tries to sell it as if his non existing girlfriend took them.

Why is someone who was already busted for a hilariously lame attempt to slander Mueller still pretending to be some kind of authority?

This bloke makes some good points

Jihadi brides such as Shamima Begum could be just as dangerous as male foreign fighters if ever allowed back into the country, a former Scotland Yard counter-terrorism chief warned today.

Richard Walton, who led the Met’s counter-terrorism command for five years until 2016, said it would be a mistake to make “simplistic” judgements based on the gender of a potential returnee in assessing the threat they pose.

He added that some British women who had travelled to Syria had played a “vital” role in plotting Islamic State attacks and that the radicalising effect that they might have on future generations of Britons should not be under-estimated.

“Women who joined Isis as ‘jihadi brides’, far from being passive actors or victims, are likely to have been participants in terrorist activities in Syria,” he said. “Many will pose just as much of a security threat as their male counterparts.”

EDIT: this part underneath was something I wrote not Richard Walton just don't want people thinking im spreading fake news lol

A united front is needed and most likely new laws stating that if you go and join a terror organization you will face whatever the laws are of the land you go to and will receive no help or support from the government. Laws need to be in place to punish traitors to their country.

Make everyone happy. Arrest her when she arrives, try her for treason.

I can assure you that would far from please everyone. The majority never want her to step foot in the country again.

Shamima Begum: 78% of Britons support revoking IS bride's UK citizenship - Sky Data poll

The vast majority of the British public support the home secretary's decision to remove the UK citizenship of Islamic State recruit Shamima Begum, a Sky Data poll reveals.

Eight in 10 Britons (78%) think Sajid Javid was right to remove the 19-year-old's citizenship, with 15% saying he was wrong, and 7% unsure.

Justice is justice. They can use this as a platform for all would-be terrorists. Go fight for an enemy of the nation, get tried for treason if you get caught or decide to come home. We did the same for John Walker Lindh, aka the "American Taliban" who was caught in Mazar e Sharif by NATO/US intervention in Afghanistan. He got 20 years without possibility of parole for aiding the Taliban against the Northern Alliance.

Things have gotten a tad more racist sense then.

What is most disappointing is this isn't even a surprise. Especially with this administration.

From what I have read her extremist husband wants them to go live in Holland now. Dutch government has already came out and said they want nothing to do with her either.

I don't know how exactly that would all work cause I think the baby would be classed as 25% Dutch, 25% British and 50% Syrian.

Incredibly sad and unfortunate news being reported but cannot be confirmed that Shamima's Begum's baby has died.

Tasnime Akunjee her lawyer said he had "strong but unconfirmed reports" of the death of the baby, who was about two weeks old.

Sad if that is true. That baby had done nothing to deserve this and could have been given a good life.

More than 100 Britons in Syria are believed to be "key players" in the new group which has launched a systematic campaign to repatriate foreigners to their home countries in the West. Called the Unity Project, its aim is to act as "an advocate to bring some rights back to some of the people who have either lost their citizenship or lost their passports". It will also provide legal assistance and secure passports and nationality rights for the children of expatriates born in Syria.

It says it is providing support for aid workers and civilians caught up in the fighting and stripped of their citizenships.

But it was last night branded part of cynical ploy to "dupe the public into believing that these individuals pose no threat to our society".

The news comes as the family of British IS bride Shamima Begum is calling for her to be allowed back into the country.

The 350-strong group is led by Bilal Abdul Kareem, a US muslim convert who attempted to sue the US Government in 2017 in order to be removed from a "kill list", having been targeted in five drone strikes.

The self-declared journalist's work includes an interview with Abu Qatada, the infamous hate preacher deported to Jordan by Theresa May, and he is known to have smuggled Shukee Begum, British wife of IS suicide bomber Jamal al-Harith, out of Syria and into Turkey. His work has been dubbed by former US counter terror official Alberto M Fernandez part of "an effort to reinvent jihadi fighters as kinder and gentler".

Honestly the nerve:wall:

Odds on this group being a terrorist front trying to smuggle sleeper cells back into the US and UK?

ISIS bride comes home, goes shopping, blows herself up? Gasp. Shock. Who could possibly have seen that "shocking twist" coming? Apart from a blind deaf mule.

There are enough western progressives out there that would want to give them a second chance and turn the other cheek that this initiative will probably get some air time.

A citizen of a country is a citizen of a country. You take them back, you arrest them and then you let the court cases play out. Are there not life sentences for terrorism in the US and UK?

One could argue that it’s quite contradictory for a treasonous citizen to enjoy the liberal judicial process of a country he’s signed on the dotted line to try and destroy.

It allows them an unnecessary opportunity to become martyrs in a society they’ve clearly shown they denounce.

It’s a little spineless to allow a citizen who wants to destroy his country of citizenship to return to enjoy its benefits.

Edit: And just so it’s clear I advocate this for any citizen that means to existentially oppose the country of their birth, irrespective of any identity box they tick.

This. You want to go off and fight with ISIS against the evil Western society that raised you, whose benefits you enjoyed up until then, you can sleep in the bed you made.

There's a far simpler solution to this, involving a well-placed drone strike.

Is that the law in either country? That committing treason loses one citizenship? Serious question, I don't know. If it isn't though, a citizen is a citizen. Watching the situation in the UK over this, apparently the UK sends terrorist back to their country of origin. If that is the case, isn't that like a really big contradiction to be like, "no, we don't want them", while shipping other country's terrorist back?

Sadly, there does not seem to be such a thing as a well-placed drone strike.
