Oy, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. Get over yourself.

Please. You know what, if I was to walk into your bar and started talking about how I can run it better than you - THAT would be me needing to get over myself. But this is politics. This isn't a hobby that pays off every time I vote - this is my career.

My opinion is more valid than most on this forum because I put more into it than most on this forum.

I'm cocky in the political forum because I have a right to be cocky. I managed a 200,000 dollar campaign when I was 18. I have been doing guest consultation for Congressman since I was 19. I may have a significantly larger position coming in the near future.

Politics is what I do.

Not all opinions are equal.

We should all thank Norman for telling us how much better than the rest of us he is. Of course, one could question whether he would've achieved all of this if not for his father being who he is, and whether nepotism was at play, but that's neither here nor there.

Thing is Norm, I have a poli sci minor from Northwestern University, which is a pretty damn good school in my opinion. I think I was 2 classes away from it being a complete degree, but out of state tuition being expensive and everything, I decided not to stay in school for an extra semester and graduate on time. During my time in school, I also worked on many campaigns. See, I can brag too. My point is, with both education and age, I learned something that you still haven't, but it'll serve you well if you do.

Politics is almost entirely theory, none of which works in practice. At least not as intended. The only element of politics that matters is opinion. Therefore, anything you say about it, is no less valid than anything that Youk says about it, or BL, or Chase, or Marx, or Kel, or really anyone. Therefore, come down off of your high horse and realize that your opinion is just that, opinion.

I can tell you're educational background is in political science major. It's exactly this sort of thinking that has destroyed American politics.

The reality is that ideas matter, and political philosophy doubly so. Opinion doesn't change the consequences of policy.

We are a nation founded on opions. Its not like the Founding Fathers where raised by god as one mind to find a country in one mind and put it in stone. It was a group of individuals that disaggreed cause they had different opioins on what was best for the country. These opioins led to the party systems. The fact that the framers reconized these opioins and had the constitution as a living document is there greatest legacy imo.

And you're not God, so your statements are opinions, whether you like it or not.

No. No he does not. His message is of fearmongering, division, paranoia, vilifying those of a different political persuasion (progressives are in fact evil and comparable to Dracula on his show) and self-agrandizing.

But if you cannot see that, you are not nearly as enlightened as you hope to be.

But the only ones that even attempt are dnno, Crowe, Youk and the occasional Chase or BL bit. Of those only Crowe actually engages on a scholarly level.

That's because talking to you has become the equivilant to pounding one's head off of a wall. You're not respectful towards anyone's opinion and hold your own as divine law. There's no point in trying to debate you. Its become easier to just ignore you (which is what people are doing, thus no one attempting).
