The good news is if you get sick of them you can always trade them in at GameStop ;) .

Not heard of amiibos. I dont know if I'd want to collect all of any other series. At least a lot of the Disney stuff means something to me and I already have hundreds of Marvel, DC and Warhammer miniatures so no space to start a whole new collection in something else.

MY girlfriend is really, really into Disney Infinity. I like the figures quite a bit, but the gameplay is a bit dull in the game for me. Still, that wave after wave challenge mode thing was a ton of fun to do. I was hoping they'd release Tron figures, but they've announced those will be digital only for iOS and PC.

also coming 2 Tron Characters (confirmed as figures), Mulan, and Hulkbuster
 
I haven't played Disney Infinity 2.0 for a long time, and I think comparably Skylanders Trap Team is a superior game, but I might get 3.0 simply because it's Star Wars.
 
3.0 is adding multiplay so you can play with all your figs at once :D that part's exciting...

now if only we can have a mass data filled toybox... where you can create one big land... with little areas in it.. and not get the dang lag crap...
 
I was going to pick up 2.0 soon, but with 3.0 due in August I suppose I will just wait for that instead. :woot:
 
I can't wait. :D Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars all in the same game? That's like a dream come true right there.

Yeah, that part's exciting. After tried Skylanders Trap Team, I thought the Playsets for Infinity are way too limited with little or no replay value, and too much focus was given to Toy Box, which I do not like very much due to the poor quality that plagued most of the user-created maps. I hope this multiplayer Playsets will address this problem, and make Infinity much more enjoyable to play.
 
I love the toybox, it's what sells the game for me (otherwise id be good with all my regular star wars/Marvel/etc... games (i love creative world builder stuff) but I want to build a big old land, where i can have one section a city, one a fairytale land, one agrobah, one china, pirates, toy story, etc.... etc... and have my characters free to roam in and out of those... but the toy box is so limited on memory.. that all it wants to do is lag

Do you play on last gen or current gen? Game is pretty smooth on my PS4 even with a full toybox.

I think Toy Box is a nice idea, but the game developers relied on them too much, to the point that the Playsets seemed very lackluster and without much replay value. And there isn't enough of them, either. I hope in 3.0, they will start to create more interesting Playsets and ones that can be played for days and not just hours.

Current gen. It has a lag bar warning on the right when you add too much. Animated characteds especially kill it
