lol yeah, it's not really about who may want it or not Id rather get something else with it. I'm just curious if there's toybox items or what not that you can only have in 1.0 and not 2.0. Is there anything at all exclusive to 1.0?

not that I know of . nothing too special you can't have with the latter installment I'd say your ok.

im just getting into it myself. TRU and other stores sometimes have sales though (buy one get one half off and what not)

still not sure what the power discs or anything do yet either but those go on sale as well

the 2 packs are a bit more pricey.. usually around $30

Wow, so getting everyone would cost a fortune. Is this the kind of game that is likely to last for years? So at least it can be an investment for all that time?

it's still very easy to get 1.0 figures.. so yeah. you can go at a slow pace. infact. i'd recommend starting with them since the 2.0 figures are even easier to find and all over the place

also. another fun tidbit. these are also sold used at gamestop.. so if you want to collect them all. that's an extremely cheap way. i saw some for $3

I almost always wait for a sale before picking up a few at a time. And browse eBay often too. Sometimes you can find a good Buy it Now deal on there. I got agent P for 7 bucks, and Violet for 8 or something like that.
My most recent purchases were Donald, Baymax, and Hulk. And it was like buy two get one free at target.
I still want to pick up the Spidey playset, but I'm waiting for it to drop in price a bit.

Was searching the net for the Frozen set, as a christmas gift for my sister. The prices are effin insane! Sets are being sold for prices as high as €110, which is like $134.

Luckily I found the figures separately for the standard price, but they come without the Frozen Power Discs.

well, they did Aladdin, and have lots of Agrobah based decor and items. It makes sense to do jasmine as a counterpart to him. it sells sets and appeals to girls

How well received have these been compared to the Amiibos and Skylanders? I've got no dog in this fight, just curious. It seems like you hear more about Amiibo price-gougers than you do for Skylanders or Infinity.

Amiibos really dont do nearly as much game play wise. Amiibos just do well because they attract hardcore gamers, nostalgia, have rare and retired figures... and many are the first time ever getting a "toy"

Skylanders and amiibos will cost you much much more to have them all at this point
