That is....very good. Favs knows how to shoot a scene, boy. He said they'd look photorealistic yet still have kind of human-like facial expressions when need be. And it works.

It's one of those things where it looks good, but it will really make WB's version redundant depending on how Andy Serkis' does his version.

At least with Snow White, one was the gritty one, and the other was a spin on a Bollywood musical. Here, it might be the same situation but what's important is tone.

not bad. i hope the final trailer has more dialoge scenes from the animals.

Spectacular and I know Disney doesn't want it too close to Finding Dory but it deserves a huge summer release.

It looks fine. I've never watched the original so I don't have any big attachment to it as of now. Hopefully it's better than favs last two blockbusters.

Better quality. Looks fantastic.

Looks cool

But, and I understand why they did this, I need to see the animals speak more

I am looking forward to this. I am getting kind of a Life Of Pi vibe from this movie, and I think one of the key thematic debates on this film will be whether the animals are actually talking, or if Mowgli is merely perceiving human speech via his connection to his state of nature.

The trailer was great. The whistle of Bear Necessities at the end is a great call back to the original. Disney it's embracing its past as opposed to the usual,
" This is the dark ,realistic, modern version!" tone that reboots and remakes take nowadays.

Anyone else worried about uncanny valley? Those creatures look amazing but seeing them talk could be unsettling.

For me, that is a strength more than a weakness. See my previous post for my typically pompous over-analysis of a children's movie.

Scarlett Johansson's voice coming out of enormous rock python was absolutely chilling. Great casting by Favreau.

If they do it that way then I agree it's a strength.

Kind of makes you want to be strangled to death, swallowed whole and digested slowly over several weeks, amirite fellas? :sly:

Looks great. Though I'm not entirely sold on Scarjo as Kaa yet.

I watched Her and fell in love with her voice. She can swallow me whole all day.:sly:

The original was one of my favorite movies as a kid, so I am definitely looking forward to this. Wish we could hear some of the other animals talk though (I wanna hear Christopher Walken as King Louie goddamnit! :argh:)

i think her voice doesnt fit the snake. or maybe i am just to used hearing her

That's the point. If the snake sounded all like an evil guy it would be way too easy. Kaa's strength lies in her ability to hypnotize.
