They Also had some Footage at D23 from comicbook.com

his is not a trailer, only a preview cut for this.

Narrated by Scarlett Johansson,(kaa) "Dark in the jungle, the red flower brings warmth, life, and destruction to all it touches." speaking of fire, of course.

The footage is of photo-realistic animals and jungle landscapes, but it's 100% shot in sound stages. This is really incredible. We see Shere Khan chasing Mowgli off, and he meets Baloo, who starts humming and whistling The Bear Necessities. The movement of the animals is incredible, the cast sounds perfect in each of their roles. I'm having a lot of trouble knowing this wasn't shot in an actual jungle. Truly new things done with CGI.Huge applause, and the actors just watched this for the first time, too. A near standing ovation form the crowd.

Really curious to see how this and Serkis' movie stack up against one another.

good poster.

i dont understand standing ovations with movies like this. i get it with comicbook movies at comic con.

So comic book movies at a comic con getting a standing ovation you get, but not Disney movies at a Disney con because...?

good poster.

What?!

I grew up watching The Jungle Book, reading The Jungle Book and I would have cheered too if the footage was awesome.

No different to growing up reading comic books and showing your love at ComicCon.

comicbook movies get standing ovations because of slow motion action scenes and superheros doing overdramatic poses and quoting known lines from the books IMO.

Keep up the good nonsense, dark b. :o

i just dont understand why a grown man would stand up and start screaming and clapping . because of 30 seconds of CGI animals? i 100% understand it for comicbook con trailes.

But it's cool for grown men to clap and cheer CGI robots and stuff?

I always think these reports are a little exaggerated anyway. The footage probably got a big round of applause and a few whoops. No big deal is it?
