I was in Toys R Us today, and looking through the Toy Story section...it's funny how many adults are still pissed off at Lotso.

I saw two people looking at the bear, and one of them said "Oh look, you can talk to him." Her friend said "I don't want to talk to HIM!" :cmad: :funny:

:applaud Lotso and Stinky Pete will forever be enemies in my mind!

I don't want to say my nephew is Toy Story-obsessed, but a few nights ago he was wearing a Buzz Lightyear shirt. Just Buzz, no other character on the shirt. He's just learning his letters, so he was telling me all of the letters he had on his shirt (if you've never had this discussion with a 2-year-old, you have not yet lived).

But when he was done, he pointed to the picture of Buzz and said "This is Buzz!" and I said, "That's right, that's Buzz." Then he pointed to a totally blank part of his shirt and said "And this is Woody!" :funny:

picked up my lots-o-huggin bear last night
highly reccomend him lol

Just saw it. Held back tears when they accepted their fate and held hands waiting to die. Feel some welling up right now just thinking about it.

Anyone else notice the analogy to how Darth Vader was supposed to turn to the Dark Side when Lotso does?

Wow. As someone who grew up with Toy Story (First in 1st grade, 2nd in 7th, this one my junior year of college) the last 10 minutes hit me, hard. It was equal to saying goodbye to your childhood.

The animation was stunning. I'd expect nothing less from Pixar, but the detail was mind blowing.

Upon second viewing the pace seems kinda rushed. I would've loved it to have been three hours, but I know it was over budget already.

My personal favorite part was 'frozen' buzz flipping his helmet back up right as the toddlers burst in.

Finally saw this movie and I absolutely LOVED it!! Superb movie...so powerful... 9/10. I can't give it a perfect 10 because it made me sad to many times (lol)...

I'm planning on seeing the film in 3D this week.

If anyone has seen it in 3D, could you tell me if the 3D is any good? Is it noticeable in a good way with depth and the occasional pop out effect like Avatar or is the 3D not noticeable at all so it feels like a 2D film?

its noticeable in depth but not really up to Avatar's standards (mostly because thats Live action mix with CG and this is all CG) But its still good, theres a couple shots that really show off the depth and feel of it. It was uncanny

I saw it in 3D and I really enjoyed it. 3D definitely brought alot of depth to it.

People thought that the 3D in the movie was not impressive, but I disagree 100%. I thought the subtlety and depth in the 3D in the movie made it much more pleasing to the eye..

Toy Story 3 Is the Top Toon of All Time!
Source: Walt Disney Pictures August 13, 2010

It's official! Disney•Pixar's acclaimed Toy Story 3, directed by Lee Unkrich, has become the highest grossing animated film of all time with the $920 million it has grossed globally since opening in mid-June. This weekend, the computer-animated family comedy should become only the second Disney movie to cross the $400 million mark domestically, as it shoots to become the ninth highest grossing movie in North America by summer's end. It's currently Disney's fourth biggest global hit.

In a statement released earlier today, Rich Ross, Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, said:

“In 1995, the talented team at Pixar introduced a cowboy, a space ranger and their friends who have gone on to become some of the most beloved characters in the world. The success of Toy Story is due to the tremendously creative and innovative team at Pixar, led by John Lasseter and Ed Catmull, and our incredible marketing and distribution teams around the world. In Toy Story 3, director Lee Unkrich, producer Darla Anderson and the incredible team at Pixar have given audiences a film that continued the rich storytelling and character building that have become synonymous with every Pixar release.”

Walt Disney Home Entertainment has announced that Toy Story 3 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on November 2, 2010, when it will probably set a few more records
Very nice. And November 2nd! :awesome::up:

This is great! Now Finding Nemo can be kicked off it's damn undeserving pedestal.

Yeah, I dont like Finding Nemo quite as much as everyone else seems to. Granted, its better than Cars, but still.

I love the Incredibles. I just want a ****ing sequel already. :o

Yes! I want a real sequel not a sh**ty video game.

I definitely prefer that than a Monster Inc. sequel. Why are they making a Monster's Inc sequel?

I liked Monsters, Inc. but yeah, I dont see what they could add to that story. Still... better than Cars 2. :o
