I saw this yesterday, and I didn't watch it in 3D (I'm glad I didn't, because I think it would've been a distraction). I thought it was definitely a step in the right direction for Disney's in-house animation. The animals were very well animated, and even though it wasn't quite Pixar quality, it was so friggin' close that I honestly didn't care. Some people have complained that the story is a little too similar to Toy Story, but personally I enjoyed it a lot. And maybe it's just because I'm living at school right now and I miss my pets a lot, but this movie actually made me tear up a few times (BTW, the last movie that did that to me was I Am Legend). Whatever the case, the movie managed to push my buttons the way it was trying to, and I ended up liking it a lot more than I expected I would when I went in.
BTW, does anyone know what breed of dog Bolt is supposed to be? I know I've seen a dog that looked like him before, but I can't put my finger on it.
