Disney's Frozen - Part 2

it certainly seems so..........lol.

makes you wonder what the classic films like Little Mermaid and Beauty and The Beast would be called..........

Splash and Beastly. Oh wait... :oldrazz:

yeah.

and that's why I'm a little worried about Moana, since it doesn't seem to be based on a fairy tale.

once Disney started deviating from that formula, they started getting into trouble.

but......we shall see........
Not to scare Disney fans, but I'm getting crazy Pocahontas vibes. But it's probably just paranoia. I've been burned by Disney once, but hopefully Lassetter won't let that happen again. Giants sounds good, I love Jack and the Beanstalk. Now if they ever get around to doing Iron Hans. :hmm

I love me these European centered princess stories. :(

Doesn't look like another one is coming for a while now though. :waa:

I can definitely see the prince and Hans/John forming a very Aladdin and Genie relationship. And it has a princess. :)

Hopefully one comes down the pipeline after Moana, which means 2020 or further. :/ Better than nothing, I guess. Those ones are generally my favourite too.

Anyone else hoping that we'll get a Frozen short or two like Tangled got on a future blu-ray or accompanying an upcoming animated film? I think that'd be a far better idea than doing a sequel.

Oh my gosh, that would make an amazing film. And they would hardly have to change anything.

I could imagine there could be a bunch of very emotional moments between the Prince and Iron Hans. And just imagining the scene with the legion of Iron soldiers gives me goosebumps. :wow:

The film adaptation pretty much writes itself.

I can't wait to sing my heart out in the sing a long! I'm just waiting for the cinemas to post the showings :D

that's so far away.............:csad:

and.....idk about a short. I'd rather have a full sequel than just a short.

how bout Red Riding Hood? do you think they could make a princess film based on that?

or how bout one loosely based on Romeo and Juliet ( with a much happier ending of course )?

Still perusing foreign boxoffice numbers for fun.

On Jan. 21 Frozen became the #1 movie of 2013 in France with 4 698 220 admissions after 7 weeks ($46m US)

Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Returns To Top Of The Album Chart

As long as there is snow and sub-zero weather across the States, there will, it seems, be a market for Disney’s animated blockbuster Frozen. The film has earned over $348 million at the box office, and its accompanying soundtrack now returns to the top of the Billboard 200 for a third non-consecutive week. (Bruce Springsteen‘s High Hopes, which briefly interrupted Frozen‘s chart-topping run last week, plunges to #8.) Billboard notes that the Frozen soundtrack sold another 93,000 copies, bringing its overall total to 769,000.

Elsewhere, the 2014 Grammy Nominees compilation debuts at #2 (59,000), while A Great Big World enter at #4 with debut album Is There Anybody Out There? (48,000).

See how the rest of the Top 10 shook out below.

The Top 10 Of The Billboard 200 Chart

1. Soundtrack, Frozen *3 weeks*
2. Various, 2014 Grammy Nominees *new*
3. Beyonce, Beyonce
4. A Great Big World, Is There Anybody Out There? *new*
5. Lorde, Pure Heroine
6. Kidz Bop, Kidz Bop 25
7. Young The Giant, Mind Over Matter *new*
8. Bruce Springsteen, High Hopes

No, but there are discussions about bringing Wicked to the big screen. I hope if they do, they will cast Idina Menzel because she is the only one who should play Elphaba.

Haha, welcome to the Broadway fandom circa 2003. That song (along Kristin Chenoweth's signature one, "Popular") was a pretty big deal when that musical first came out. :woot:

As for the Wicked movie, it won't happen until the Broadway show's popularity begins to wane. Just like what happened with Rent. Sadly, it almost certainly won't star the original Broadway cast because they'll be way too old.

Maybe Disney should just do an animated Wicked and cast Idina as Elphaba.........:o

but wow!! I can't believe Wicked's been out for 10 years now.

It just was never on my radar because I wasn't really interested in a story about the "Wicked Witch of the West."

boy......did I miss out..........lol.

I think they would have better luck with A Midsummer Nights Dream.

Red Ruding Hood could work with some reworking.

And I totally want to see Iron Hans.

well, I managed to find a used copy of the Wicked soundtrack. :woot:

the cover's a little dirty/yucky..........but............Defying Gravity!!

Glad to hear it! You should consider exploring the other songs on it, too. :cwink:
