I felt bad for Idina, you could see she was upset at the end of her performance. :(

He didn't even try though. He said "Adel Dazeem" or something. He couldn't even start her last name with the right letter, lol.

Yeah, what the hell was that? He just mumbled something incoherent, it's not that complex of a name.

This explains what Travolta was saying:

Oh, and now it has its own Twitter account. :oldrazz:

Adele Nazeem announced as the main character of Star Wars Episode 7.

I think Travolta did her a favor. I wouldn't want my real name to be associated with that performance, either.

was Idina's performance that bad??

No, She did the best she could. The music track was fast and she was a little nervous. She was the last performer before the award was announced. She was rushed up unto the stage it seems. Unlike the others who had time

Sorry but no. It was bad, especially for a star performer of her recognition.

She was nervous, and the band was playing too fast in an effort to hurry things up, plus they went through at least 3 segments after U2 before they finally had her performed. It wasn't the greatest performance, but it wasn't that bad either. I think she did well under the circumstances.

here's the video

Fast tempo is not an excuse for a Broadway veteran, sorry. And being scheduled last to perform is not an excuse either.
This is not the first time where she's performed on an awards show with just as much pressure, audience, etc. This honestly should have been easy for her. It was bad and she knew it, that's why it was all over her face throughout the performance.
If it was so bad, why'd she get a standing ovation ? It wasn't bad.
Because people had empathy and sympathy and respect.

I'm still a bit disappointed with that performance. As far as I can tell, all the other songs were full versions at normal pacing, but the 1 song that I'm sure the vast majority were most interested in gets cut short and what was left was done at a faster than normal pace. This probably contributed to Idina's (or is it Adela?:cwink:) nervousness, although performing live at the Oscars in front of a Global audience was probably enough to put even a seasoned veteran like Idina on edge to begin with.
