saw this last wednesday and thought it was terrible.

first part where it was setting things up and doing it documetry style was brillaint, loved that. if they done the entire movie like that it would have been good but it wouldn't have fitted with the plot but anyhow...

after he got sprayed with the stuff it became horribly predictable and dull. having not seen a single trailer for this and only hearing how it's the most amazingly origonal movie ever i'm pretty sure i'm not suppose to be able to call 2/3rds of the film after the first 20 mins...

just don't get whats so amazing about things i've seen done better on low budget tv shows. sure the starting idea of aliens in the slums was a good one but then thats just another idea from somewhere else again...so...screw it...

3/10 purely for the design of the aliens and decent cgi

Watched it and loved it. I'm far too lazy to be writing a review, especially when it'll be very similar to previous ones. You could really tell they'd been prepping Halo though - the guns and stuff, also the mech he fought in at the end looked especially like one of the big aliens out of Halo.

Fair enough, that seems more accurate t:. It just goes to show certain movies arent for everyone.

I do agree that Watchmen was astonishing.

^I think I am one of the few who was really disappointed with watchmen. Not that it was a bad film, it had its moments, but Moore was right...Watchmen is better as a book.

For me the most pleasant surprise this year was Drag Me to Hell, I expected that to suck hard...but it was pretty good. Star Trek too, but that was because I didn't see Trailer 3 (best.trailer.of.the.year) until like 2 weeks until its release, had I seen that trailer earlier I wouldve been just as excited as everyone else

Ah, that ST trailer was fantastic. That music used in it was great. It really told the whole story in music. You can just listen to that and get the film.

^It really is one of the best trailers I've seen in my life. And I agree with you on the music, Freedom fighters...I listen to that on youtube every now and then. Its just that awesome. I wish it was actually in the movie...or that two steps from hell made the score.

I wish most of the music that plays in trailers were in the actual movies. That's one of things that made The Dark Knight trailer so ****ing awesome.
