DmC: Devil May Cry

So since this game is a reboot, who do u want to see from previous DMC games? I would like to see Virgil personally as well as Trish, as far as enemies go, that giant tarantuala from DMC was cool

Honestly they can keep the clothes, I just ask for the white hair. They can even keep the style, just give Dante his white hair, please. If they would do that, I'd be less unhappy about the change.

Now, what I want to see is a reboot while keeping the main parts of the original story. He has to be the son of Sparda with a twin. If that's not there, then its some other DMC/GoW knock off. I as well want to see Virgil and Trish eventually; maybe not this game, but somewhere down the lines. Virgil is my favorite character.

I really loved the fighting style and flow in DMC4. If the weapons appear to morph and change at will, I think a style like that will really mix well. Being able to change your weapon at will to whip/polearm/sword will make for amazing combos and visuals. As well, the combo system and style point are a must.

I'd loved the orb system and the leveling of weapons/fighting styles. I'd hate to see that drastically change. Improve sure, but don't flat out redesign it.

Eh, different strokes for different folks I guess. It was a little over the top for me and I'd like to see Dante get back to being a badass and not a constant joke. We can agree on Virgil though. We don't know if he won't be showing up in this new game. I wouldn't be surprised if he did though.

Right on. Personally I still thought he was a bad ass since he didn't take himself too seriously and kicked all sort of ass very stylishly on a consistant basis. Kinda reminded me of Spider-Man in a way. The cheesiness was great to me because that's my type of humor. If you get it, you laugh big time. If you are more of a "serious bad ass" type of person, you role your eyes and/or cringe. I don't care for over dramatic stuff because I think it's goofy. No matter how much of a total "bad ass" you are, everyone has diarrhea from time to time, and I don't care how much of a serious bad ass you are...it's impossible to look cool when that's going down....even you Kratos

In any case...looking at the latest pictures and what not...if anything, I just wish this new Dante didn't look like a meth addict

Honestly, I thought Dante was as badass as he needed to be. I don't see why having a campy aspect means a character can't be badass.

I feel the same. I thought how he went into battle was what made him badass. He goes into a fight against dozens of minions and does so with a smile on his face.

He never shows fear, and rarely shows anger. Most times he is in control of his emotions (save for against Virgil and Mundus). While his one-liners are terrible at times, it is the attitude he has towards his adversaries that makes him great.

Insulting people based on if they liked a character design is the sort of the a fourteen year old would do. You can voice your displeasure without insulting others.

Ok maybe i should have put a happy face next to it cuz i was kidding the whole time. I could care less if you like it. And i got new info. Capcom says dante is in disquise and that he is trying to find himself and try to understand why his hair is going white. Sombody ftalked to the capcom facebook page and they reponded by saying this. I still want old dante back.

-Dante may in fact be half demon, but the world outside him doesnt believe so (due to the fact that he was in some sort of asylum in the trailer)
-The events in the game could be something that happened all in his mind
-Limbo City may actually be linked to the demon world

Yeah, I was just referring to the story for DMC2. The combat was way too easy, you could just run through that game with the guns and not worry. Plus all the weapons had the same moves.

All of those ideas about the new game are plausible. We'll just have to wait and see. I hope we get some information soon, so we'll have something to talk about besides character design.

I really hope you can jump in this game. I just played the Enslaved demo and for some reason this developer does not like a jump button. Its one of the things I didnt like about Heavenly Sword

I just realized something...

I think this game has Dante in hell and Dante in heaven.

The beginning of the trailer has a quote about heaven and hell. Then, when Dante gets shocked, both his captive form and his 'action' form get hurt. Is Dante caught inbetween the two with captive Dante in hell and 'action' Dante being in heaven?

I just saw the trailer...i don´t like the new Dante.
Not only his he too skinny (i thought he was a she when he is captive), i miss his white hair.
As for the game itself, it might be good, i just played the Enslaved demo and i loved it

If this was related a sequel to DMC 4 and not a reboot and the new Dante was called something else....then I would be happy and excited for this game. I really don't understand, it's like taking Lara Croft and making her a Librarian. A totality unnecessary action that wouldn't do anything but destroy the Lara Croft name.

Well, no it wouldn't really. He always had white hair and we already saw him when he was a lot younger in DMC3 and he didn't really look all that different.

As I said in a earlier page it was show in DMC 3 that Date and his twin bro had white hair from the Start in their child hood. and I even put up a link to the english Dubbed Anime not that long but while ago on this thread, that Further showed that he had that hair colour from the start fallowing up on what was shown on his back ground from the games.
BTW that english Anime is alot more westernised and actually done well. So there no excuse to avoid that one socool or any one esle look to find issues. If that is your usual issue with that kinda of thing.



Other wise if that's not the case on why it wasn't looked at then I'm Not sure why it's being ignored. mey be you just missed some how i guess. But that is the case with dante That's his history. He has never not had that hair colour.

It makes sense because it's a reboot. They're starting at the beginning rather then releasing the games out of order. Dante having white hair from birth in the other games has no affect on this new game.

I think with the "Nothing is what is seems" may be implying that Dante could possible be imagining that the events are occuring thus causing him to appear to be somewhat psychotic. If he is a demon in this game, he may be the only person who can see them in his world but no one else can. Also at some point, both worlds can merge together and the demons will become visible to everyone thus proving that Dante was correct about their existence, just a thought though...
