Devil May Cry for 360 and wii?

In the new 360 magazine, they mention that DMC producer Hiroshi Kobayshi mentioned that Capcom were seriously thinking about taking the next gen Devil May Cry to ALL formats.



I don't personally care about the franchise (its WAY below RE, Dinocrisis and Dead Rising in my estimation), but if true, this would be yet another blow for PS3 and one less reason (of very few) to get one.

If this is that same quote that was brought up like 7 months ago, he specifically said that he'd wouldn't mind Dante the character showing up on the other platforms through Capcom games (Capcom loves to cross brand Dante), DMC is PS3 series though.

Devil May Cry 4 will be good hopefully, I mean is they improve everything over Devil May Cry 3 (and please get some decent sound effects guys, that walking sound drives me insane) and we get older quieter Dante and not "HUWAAA!!" every second, it should be good.

I think the Dante character was a fluke, and now they're never going to get him right. Devil May Cry is the only DMC game that exists to me, even though I acknowledge the sequels which have raped an awesome character.

I loved Dante, in 1 and 3. He was completely different, but he kicked ass. I want styles to come back aswell, they added replayability.

The only reason why it is going on the Xbox 360 is because it is an online game and Square-Enix wants to expand the online community of Final Fantasy XI.

I disagree. DMC2 and 3 had incredibly generic, crappy demon and level designs, with increasingly bad plots and characters. The first, while not exactly classic writing, had a coherant plot, decent action scenes that werent pathetically over the top as the case became by 3 and was original for its time. DMC3 is basically DMC, with a worse plot, characters, level and art designs, and less impressive memorable boss battles.

Well I think the design work of DMC games are alreayd horrible, so the 'step down' or hatnot of DMC3 didn't bother me. It has a much better combat engine with much better graphics and weapons. imo.
